It's funny how, more than the giant polar bears, dinosaurs and dragons etc., the scariest chase is running from a cartoon-y walrus-chef. The music, the camera shaking, the claustrophobic environment, Rusty's taunting, the difficulty, the fact Rusty can just totally No Sell Nitro Crates... yeah, that sequence is memorably tense, my personal favourite chase level in the series.
Twinsanity is one of the best and most innovative Crash games ever made. I would be so happy if Vicarious will remaster that piece of my childhood.
CrashBurnman95 As much as I love Twinsanity, I doubt that VV will make a remake of this game considering Travellers Tales lost the Original Source Code years ago. I would actually been more interested in seeing VV's own take of an Open-world Crash game.

It always cracked me up how Coco was escaping from a tsunami that came out of nowhere in a scooter
And the Tsunami is stopped by a wooden door

Coco has outrun natural disasters so she has been in more danger than Crash.
She outran a Tsunami AND an Avalanche.
She outran a god damn fireball in the reaches of space, TWICE!
The closest thing Crash has done to that is being chased by a bunch of boulders.

Not my favourite type of levels, but their concept surely made a huge impact on the games.
My favorite is the Walrus one.
The music, the atmosphere, way the screen shakes on each of his steps, and how he introduces himself (AH YUMMY! Fresh meat for my pot).

"Un-Bearable" was my favorite of the three chase levels from Crash 2. Got to ride Polar at the end, hsd a secret area (which I didn't know for years), and a secret portal to unlock "Totally Bear".
Man I wish we had chase levels in Crash of the Titans.
A seriously missed opportunity for Crash to outrun something dangerous while riding a Rhinoroller.

To those who do not know why this is a chase level:
Cortex sent a meteorite to destroy a crystal. Apparently this fire is the meteorite closing in on you.
Never new it until now either ^^
It wasn't Cortex.
It was N.Tropy.
Cortex isn't even in N.Tranced.
For some reason, the chase levels have the best sountracks in the game
For me, the best song of the chase levels is easily Crash Bandicoot 2's. I just loved that more often than not, the "DUN DUN DUN!" almost always seemed to play right as the boulder dropped.

I liked playing Twinsanity, but I acknowledge the Crash's vibe died when there's no point in breaking all the crates and not being properly invincible with Aku Aku's protection.
These levels gave me the greatest form of anxiety

I'm speedrunning Crash 2 (or at least I'm getting into it), and I can't even tell you how painful these levels get. Like, they're already a bit challenging on it's own, but trying to beat them as fast as possible without being able to see anything in front of you - OH BOY, that's a whole new level.

It's weird seeing Crash run at 60fps in that PS2 game... I'm glad the remake is gonna stick with 30fps honestly, so that it stays consistent with the feel of the originals

For me it's Crash bandicoot 2 and warped
From a game design perspective, what do you think is more important? Being able to see how far away you are from whatever is chasing you or being able to see where you're going? I know that the designers made Crash face the camera in these chase levels because it was the beginning of 3D gaming and they wanted to make sure the players know what his face looks like but don't you think it's bad game design from nowadays' perspective?
Also, some of the bonus sections are really hard to find. How was I supposed to find them?

Oh man, I still have yet to get past that walrus guy...I swear mine must be faster than everyone else's because it doesn't even take like 10 seconds until he's killed me, and I'm not even aiming for any crates! I actually wanted Twinsanity just for a chance to play as Nina, tbh. xD
But man, RIP Skylanders...That's the game that truly started my journey on the Wii...Miss that franchise.
