I really appreciate all your tutorials and talks on the 90d. Please keep them coming. I had put my camera down for a while and am restarting to use it and I love learning new things and relearning some of the old. Thank you
I felt compelled to leave a comment, and thank you for your helpful, easy to follow, well explained, and fun lesson. All of these videos have guys who claim they're experts, tell you about their lives, them them them, but you have to skip to the last 20 seconds of the vid to get to the point. Your lessons were the opposite of that, and I want to thank you for your effort, and for sharing your knowledge with us new guys. Subscribed. Keep it up!
Please keep on doing Canon 90d for while, this is a good camera for new comer who is new to DSLR your teaching will help many of us to move to next level.🙏🙏👏👏👏🇦🇺 your teaching is great.
That part that you talk about in 3:25, “no mirror”, did you mean using the camera through the screen? I tested the 90D and returned it due to lack of focus, I could only focus with a 600mm sigma tele objective, 250mm stm and 400mm tamron when I used electronic shutter, the mechanic blurs even with the camera on the tripod! The drawback of the electronic shutter is the lack of continuous shooting, not being able to use the optical viewfinder and flash but the focus improves and on average 50%!
Thanks so much for the in-depth explanation of the canon 90D. I’m new to the camera and a little intimated and afraid I’ll mess it up. This video has helped me tremendously. I appreciate the way you showed and told what to do so I could understand. Thanks again for the amazing video 👍
These videos have been a great help! I have been lending my 90D to my son he (or I) must have the live view button. We are in the Smokies, and I can't get the angle that I want to get the pictures of plants. I had tried online and found many LONG videos that didn't help, your's was short and to the point. Thanks, you have made our trip much more pleasant, and I'll get home with much better pictures. 😊
Thanks for commenting. I always appreciate hearing stories of how the videos have helped someone. I have been there myself many time, stuck on a problem and some great YT video has saved the day. It is nice to be able to pay it back. My best to you on your vacation!
Spot on. Thank you for the video. I bought this piece of gem few days ago after thorough research. Yes, it is the best of both worlds that made me interested in it. I have used stacked extenders with telephoto lenses and still got AF in live view including super fast burst. Also the extra resolution helps to crop images captured from a distance. There is one small caveat though, I couldn't find any application on google that gets the shutter count of this DSLR in windows! However, since it's new, I can live with that but option to figure it out would have been nicer. Thanks again.
That was really helpful to understand the benefits of both types of camera. I have had DSLR cameras for many years, used only as an occasional amateur photographer. I decided to get the 90D so I could step into the world of mirror less live photography, while still being able to use my DSLR camera in a more traditional way! I am looking forward to watching more of your videos on the 90D, thank you! Can I ask what cameras you are filming this series on?
Hi Thanks for your comment. I am using the Canon C200 cameras for our studio. I have taken one of them into the field several times and enjoyed working with them in that way as well. Sadly, not too much the last year! Our primary usage of the C200s is my wife's UA-cam Channel, Study English with Us.
Hello, thank you for this great video. I bought the 90D only 3 days ago and used it for the first time yesterday. I was confused for a while as my previous Sony would 'automatically' move from the viewfinder to live (on the LCD screen) - so eye on the viewfinder it would go there, bring the eye away and the viewfinder would show. Your video has explained why I was not getting this same effect on my Canon 90D and that I need to use the START/STOP function. Can I just ask (like my Sony) is there any way of setting up the automatic movement? Thank you again for your great video and as a novice and first time Canon user I will definitely be watching your series on this camera.
I searched a lot of cameras but didn't judge which one. then 90D came front of me , I review spec. and functions, it is that what i wanted. photography and videos with IS and AF that is super amazing for me. and yesterday i bought it.
dear sir, My experience with the canon R7 is that when I take a photo with the electronic shutter, a picture is taken directly on the sensor. This prevents motion blur due to the mechanism of the shutter. This gives you a pinsharp picture. But if I take a shot in "live view" with the Canon 90D, is that comparable to the shot with the electronic shutter of the R7? Doesn't the 90D also see the image via the sensor? does this also produce a pinsharp picture? Is this different than with the R7?
It may depend on the brand of the external flash, how well it will communicate with the 90D. If it is a Canon Flash, you should be able to use it in all modes.
Hi question: How can I can get the grid lines for love view mode.. so I can see them in the lcd.. I’ve tried to find it but only option is via view finder. Please help. I have canon 90d Thank you.
Can you please tell me how to take zoom photos because with my 90D whenever i take any photo in zoom but when I see original photo it comes just normal not zoomed anymore
i suppose you meant to say that the mirror is DOWN when you look thru the viewfinder..?!! As I'm sure you know, the mirror goes up when the shutter opens i.e. when you make the shot OR when you use live view...
Mirrorless camera is overrated. If you want to learn something at all, it is best to use a DSLR camera and how it works. In 10 - 20 years, most people will not know what a DSLR camera is. Regardless, the Canon 90D is a good camera if you are a beginner or if you just want a camera with good autofocus.
Thank you for the video and sharing. Very useful information. I think that the 90D is a good camera for any level right up to professional. Stunning images and full control over settings. Even a pro would tackle most jobs with the 90D in the same way that pro's have with any half decent camera made over the last 20 years or more. I think it is ridiculous calling the 90D a beginners camera. Being a beginner, or an artistic pro has nothing to do with the camera. Give a pro an old 10mp Canon 40D and you will get back pro images. Give a beginner a Canon 1DX MK 111 and they are likely to give back nothing worth looking at. A beginner should pick up an old 40D and learn on that. Check out what this pro wildlife photographer pulled out of a 10mp Canon 40D. His name is Zahoor Ahmed. I couldn't post the link but if you go search for Zahoor Ahmed photographer flickr, you will find a link to flickr to see his work. The images he has taken with the Canon 40D are stunning.
I only had the 90D while filming the series, so I can't check, but I am sure I must have demonstrated how to do it, if not in this video, in one of the previous videos in the series .... ua-cam.com/play/PLVEbruHeMAw87wwor4zxG8NBHU2BaSIcA.html

You do such an amazing job explaining. I am new to photography and just purchased this camera and am learning so much from you. Thank you!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Excellent walk through. Thanks for posting.

Great video ! I still prefer my 90d even to my m6mkii mostly the size in my hands and full frame.
This is excellent. Thank you.
Really enjoyed your video and style, please keep it going!
Soooo helpful. Thank you! x

Good video on the 90d
Glad you liked it
Thanks sir I learnt something new today

@@umaid813 is 90D good for low light "photography"??
@@pravinktalks Canon 90D is not good for low light . for the low light you need to buy lens f 1.8 to keep less noise.

I love the 90D but can I ask a dumb question? If using flash can you use normal AV/TV modes or do you have to use M?
thats with an external flash, not inbuilt
It may depend on the brand of the external flash, how well it will communicate with the 90D. If it is a Canon Flash, you should be able to use it in all modes.

Thank You!
Welcome!
May I see Instogram during live view ?
The 90d can shoot the external flash in liveview mode?
Yes!
thank you man just couldn’t figure it out hahaha
Can you please tell me how to take zoom photos because with my 90D whenever i take any photo in zoom but when I see original photo it comes just normal not zoomed anymore
Because you have to zoom with your lens, not with the buttons.
Sorry, I don't understand your question. You have a zoom lens, you zoom in, but when you take the photo it is as if you were not zoomed in?

No, I work for a humanitarian agency doing photography and video production.

I heartily agree!
i just bought a 90d. mirrorless are too expensive since I just got back into photography. i really like the 90d.
Good Choice! With every one selling EF lenses to get RF lenses, you should be able to get some great deals on some nice glass!
It’s not entry level lol.
Agreed. I'd call it mid-level, at least. The Rebel series is entry level.
What is this amateur hour with the screen ?
I can Not See the Change in reel time. Why? Which setting i need? (Eos 90D)
I only had the 90D while filming the series, so I can't check, but I am sure I must have demonstrated how to do it, if not in this video, in one of the previous videos in the series .... ua-cam.com/play/PLVEbruHeMAw87wwor4zxG8NBHU2BaSIcA.html
