• Warm mode ( VOICE page )
• Tighter Envelope attack time
lmao I blame this update on the gearslutz thread. The warm mode is welcome and I'm glad they jumped on it so fast. The tight envelopes are what I'm most excited about.
funny thing is... warm mode was in the works since well before HydraSynth released... but ... hey let em think what they want.
@@Fluxwithit well that blows a hole in my theory but I'm glad ASM is already working on great updates. Lots of potential for the future, makes me glad I got mine!
MPE support makes desktop version look really appealing now..
yeah, but what midi controller would you use? MPE is probably most affordable with an explorer or OG version. i got the desktop so i've been looking for a controller to do MPE.. might have to swap it out for a keyed version.
@@fosferus I believe you could use microfreak? But agree explorer looks sweet spot!!!
4:12 That chord was quite warm already! I need to get this update. I want that SEM type filter too.
Warm mode is very nice! Thanks for another great demo and explanation. I have had my Hydra for a month or so now, and I love it. This update will add to that love. :)
Must say in many cases I'd prefer warm mode off, but sometimes would like it on "instantly". And that's exactly what this update does. Great work!
Even with the very latest synths available, I'm getting this one in the next month or two.
Me too... (I hope!) :o)
Which other synths are you talking about? Just curious :)
Weird: already a v1.3 update for a synth that is still not available (in Germany). ://
Nice! I did think the Hydra sounded a little thin. Now warm mode gives it a little “umph.”
i just got mine yesterday, perfect timing!
update along with the librarian is live on the site now
Really hope they add splits and layer capabilities on this thing.
totally agree.. i made some bass and pad presets that need to play together!
MPE has been a long time coming for me since I first came across it and I have been ready for it ever since. This is a nice update and maybe one day! Now where did I put my bucket list?
Thanks for sharing so quickly :) Warm mode sounds interesting. On the "snappier attack" topic, how snappy is the envelope generally? For me a good test ground would be to replicate the classic Kraftwerk-style zap sound (that'd be a short snappy decay on the highly resonant low pass filter), it'd be cool if you'd explore the whole enevelope section on that! Keep up the good work :)
at 7.25 i dig that a lot
Could you demonstrate warm mode on an analog style pad? It was nice to hear how the low end was affected on the bass pads buti I'd love to hear how the high end rolloff affects a string sound.
Brandy Collins not till after namm. Tad bit busy . Thanks for watching :)
@@Fluxwithit Makes sense...have a great NAMM!
next a sequencer
possible with the macro controls... fingers crossed...
Very nice mate
Nice.
This sound waveform software is very cool, can you introduce it to me?
izotope Insight
Can't this be done with a Parametric EQ, or is this something completely different? It seems like an "effects-chain" type of process (FX Algorithm?). Very cool update. Thanks for the demo!
As stated in the video: it is not an effects-chain type of process. In very simple terms, it is a decoupling of the phases of the oscillators and doing it differently for various frequencies. Almost like emulating an original OB-4 by digital means.
With the inclusion of MPE, does this mean that keyboards like the Roli Seaboard Block will be able to perform aftertouch functions?
D B Pawlan yes
Dope vid bro!
amazing update
Effect Parameters: On~On
not sure why you would turn warm mode off!
mobith not everyone patch should be huge and beefy. Heck that’s why band pass and high pass filters exist. Often times you may want an airy pad, or light sprinkles on top of a track. It’s really all about sitting in a mix nicely.
light sprinkles? airy pads? i suspect we live in different dystopias ;)
mobith can’t have a nuclear fall out without the acid rain and chem dust
Why not add warm mode but before any processing of the wave is being done, right after the oscillators?
Lowpassfilter what sense would that make? Literally what you would be asking for would be to alter the shape of a waveform... which is exactly what the mutants do.
@@Fluxwithit It would remove the obvious artifacts in the high registers in especially the effects section.
Don't tell me there are none because that would make you lose all credibility as being part of making this great synth.
It sounds very good but very different from analog sound obviously. WHat does that mean digital is the new analog?
i mean the sound is very distinctly digital, every patch, in a good way. :)
Matt Byron yep it’s got the heft it needs to punch through a track and the shwing to make it crazy
Is the sound at 7:20 a preset? Thank you
sotovo yes
Wow. Thanks.
Synth is not available in Germany.
Are these shipping yet?
Whoop dee doo, it's a low pass filter.
