- For this 100th video I've picked probably my favourite track of all the ones I've written. The chord structure is a bit quirky, as is the melody, but the four-note sequences which echo the title seem to fit the vibe perfectly, especially the final four notes.
The lovely, and so romantically named Taylor 914ce is perfect for a track like this, where the high notes ring out so well. My favourite of all strings ever is the second string, and you can easily tell why that is on a track like this.
I also like the John Suhr Signature playing the intro; I doubt whether John Suhr envisaged the guitar being used in this way (although I may be wrong).
On the library album Guitar Swing it's renamed to Big Stride, which I can understand because it does have a slow 2/4 feel, but, not perhaps surprisingly, I'm preferring my original title for UA-cam!

So cool to hear a Taylor played by someone so cool.
Thank you SG, you're too kind! They're wonderful guitars aren't they? J
Great, Musical Performance! .. 🤩
Thanks Eddy!
Exquisite taste in guitars, sir. The music sounds great!
Thank you Rudi! Cheers, J
What a great track to hit the 100 mark on! I love the "twangy" (is that a word even?) sound. Suits the song perfectly....lovely appropriate choice of instrument!
Onward and upward to the next milestone then.... don't dawdle life's too short! J.
Thanks John! Yes, a bit of twangification going on but it works here. I'm having a bit of a rest now while I learn Photoshop; can't see that being a problem 😱... Cheers, J!
Very nice.
Many thanks John! J
Wunderschön gespielt auf dieser herrlichen Gitarre. THANKS
Thank you Geli Cookie! And thank you for taking the time to comment; much appreciated! J

Thank you! And thanks for taking the time to comment; much appreciated! J
Bravo!
Thank you! J
Sounds amazing! How did you record the acoustic? Is it just direct in? Thanks
Thanks Zuul! I record the acoustics with two Royer ribbon mics into a Tube-Tech MP 2A preamp, then into my Apollo Twin and on into Pro Tools. It'd be great to DI straight from the Taylor but I don't think it sounds nearly as good. Cheers, J
Sounds awesome!!

Hi Marco, thanks for your comment, but I'm afraid I can't sell it because it sounds so amazing. I'm sure Taylor would be happy to sell you one themselves! J
