Keith why on earth is it good business to buy Rangers to earn money through the champions league, you have to qualify to get a return don't ye!!! Think about it.
Celtic are better in every department certainly in the boardroom for sure. Rangers are not run as a business rather punt and hope. They need to change or fade away sorry to say

Just wish more Celtic fans would understand the need to have substantial sums in the bank. We dont want to go back to the days of failure to reach Chamions League "group" , equals, selling a player. When clubs are in that position, the vultures start circling, waiting to dive in for the kill. Look at Van Dyke, we should have gotten so much more for him.. but failure to get to champs league group stages, has consequences...Rather than us picking & choosing a prime time to get top dollar. To get top dollar in Scottish football, means players on long contract & club is in strong financial position. So they can then "play" the transfer roulette of bluff & counter bluff. You have to be very confident of your pisition to do that. That equals lots of cash.
Guys, King only really now needs his 14% shares sold and he'll use anyone to get that.
If Dave King comes back how long do you think it will be to we see a Third rangers now that sounds like a proper club
Nobody wants to invest In any Scottish club as the standard is very low.
Celtic are well run, on and off the pitch they are years ahead of Rangers.
I do think they still need to spend more to be able to compete against teams in the CL.
Scottish clubs over last 6,7yrs in CL have been the whipping boys due to the other teams play wk in wk out in a much higher standard of football, something no Scottish club faces in the non-competitive spl.
Anyway that celtic business model 👌
"if" champions league exposure is a businessman's goal, why would he pick Rangers ??? (or Scotland for that matter )
Why not pick a "LOT" cheaper option, Scananavia , Sweden / Norway you can dominate league lot easier / cheaper, which then gives more seasons with chances of qualifying .
Buy Rangers, you then have to catch Celtic. Once you catch Celtic, they will spend, so you need to continue spending just to be "equals". Even then, its toss of a coin who wins league. That only gets you a chance at qualyfing "just the same as Scandanavia" . BUT you have spent considerable greater amount in purchasing the club ( rangers) then building a solid team.
