Definitely the best roguelike I have played. I'm glad my first video was on this game! Thank you all for the great tips, it really improved my runs! But to be honest, the greatest thing about this game is still dying unexpectedly...
I would love a dwarven style minecraft playthrough, vanilla or modded, in your absolutely legendary voice. Even if not, I look forward to your content.
Good Video. :D But you picking Gold is Forever instead of Melee Immunity actually killed me. (I'm kind of joking here but the immunity perks are some of the best perks in the game. Melee immunity being one of the best of the immunities)
Really well, I managed to get some crazy wands and finished the game few times, even discovered new secrets. I was thinking on releasing a video on that, but I don't think it will be good content. I still find dying to random events as the most enjoyable aspect of the game. I will try to cover some other games in the next weeks.
Once in the snow caverns, There was a propane tank that was under the snow so i couldn't see it. Then I was getting shot at by a Hisi... You can guess how that went.
Beginners playing noita is premium content. There's a defined cycle of exploration and frustration that's just not available in pro content. Maybe I'm just a sadist. Who knows. But I'm very open to watching you play through this and learn.
So perfectly encapsulated, and with amazing/hilarious editing together with your great script and deadpan but expressive tone 🎉😊 Getting noita'd really does build character, because I really just want to experience the game again and again. I'm Finnish myself, and very proud of this national export -- one of my favorite games of all time. Thanks again, kippis! And happy dying 💀❤
Digging bolt is good, but chainsaw is even better for speeding up wands. Also, I would recommend looking into the wrap around mechanic with wands, if you do not mind some of the wand mechanics being spoiled a bit. DunkOrSlam has a good video on it called "Noita Spell Wrapping Explained". Though my guess is you might already know about that mechanic. Apparently you have finished the game a few times and I have not done so...yet. My first few deaths included dying from over stuffing myself and from grabbing the curse of greed. I think grabbing the curse was my first death.
That's what I wanted to comment too ^^ Was a bit surprised there. I also think you could make an argument for one of the letter spells or teleport or add trigger. But chainsaw is the one you'd probably use the most Oh I just noticed that they might know about wrapping since they put digging then projectile and then light
@@royceblack6752 Add mana is a great spell, too. But, yeah, the Greek letter spells are suppose to be quite powerful, but I don't have them unlocked yet. Also, like you mentioned, I hear that Add Trigger is incredibly powerful, which is another spell I don't have.
I actually laughed out loud when I realized what you did with the music! My girlfriend loves calling every pixel game terraria to cheese me so I've definitely heard that comparison before
I have about 40 hours on noita and i still dont really know how the wand system works and how spells and mana and recharge time works, but the game is so damn addicting, and i will still continue to play it
Ezio Auditore out here trying to beat Noita, love it. You also described this game perfectly. You learn what the rules are, try to break them, die, then successfully break them and die again, and again and again...
I always love seeing noita from the perspective of a beginner. it's allways interesting what they value vs what I value when I always have a long run in mind.
Thanks for making this video! Noita has been my favorite game for quite a while now, I'm 1,400 hours in and my love and excitement for the game has only grown! The game has an amazing community and I play as part of a 90 person multiplayer-like event on Twitch every other weekend, that just happened Saturday night with DunkOrSlam. I Would love to see you play this live if you're ever interested. I love the voice too haha. Happy Noita-ing! And don't let the greed control you, I would have taken melee immunity over gold is forever any day, but I'll leave it to you to apply value to the perks.
Very nice video! The music choice, the gameplay footage, and the brief description of the game, including an example run, was really great! It would be hard to cover a lot of the details of the game in one video. Anyway, really nice! you earned a sub from me :)
My brother in christ, there's a secret gold room that spawns in the same location every run. You just need enough gold to make a good digging wand (and while you don't NEED a teleport wand for the gold room, having one is a big quality of life improver). Once you have that, you can head on over and pick up the $250,000 waiting for you every run.
The greatest killer in noita is hubris... The game knows when you become too confident and immediately gives you a big FUCK YOU in form of (most likely) polymorphine
HOW DO YOU HAVE 7 SUBS??? well make that 8 lol... acually though. this video was great i know it takes a while to play record over and edit to make a video like this but i would love if you made some more of this type of content... i hope UA-cam catches on man.
I am glad you have enjoyed the video, it really took a while since it's the first time I'm doing this. I work a full job so the time is limited, but I will try my best to continue uploading more of the games I play.
"A game that doesn't tell you anything, and you have to discover it yourself by experimenting." Yes. Seems great! "The first boss is impossible to beat, so I used an exploit I found on the internet." "I found an hour glass and didn't know what to do with it, so I looked on the wiki." This is the problem I have with Noita. There's a lot of neat stuff, which would take a regular person way way too long to figure out by experimenting, and fun spells and things you'll never get to use until you've passed these big spoilery hurdles. I have fun with it, and still want to beat the main game, but there's a lot outside of that which I really don't agree with from a game design perspective.
You nailed it with your first video. Probably by doing something everyone feels like they have to correct you on and getting all this comment section engagement. 504 likes on a brand new channel in 10 days seems pretty good. Hope you make more Noita content!
Noita is, to me, more of a "heavy metal" type of game as opposed to a "xylophone and violins" type of game, but maybe that's just because of my traumatic early experiences
Man, I need to play more Noita. I stopped after a few runs ending around the Hisii base. The game is just slightly too fast for my comfort, but I was slowly getting used to it
Great showcase of the beginner experience, btw you can get teleportatium in your flask by carefully throwing it in the liquid so that the flasks opening is still at the top. To get the flask back just burn the liquide as teleportatium is highly flammable
I think its the best indie game to come out in the past 5 years. I do think the edit wands anywhere mod is mandatory though, especially if your just starting out.
My problem isn't the dying so much as the tilt. I "learn" something and then overcompensate and then that causes me to "learn" the opposite lesson. A few rounds of that feels less like progress and more like my brain being pulled out of my left nostril.
This is seriously your first video??? That's insane, nice! I guess the lack of shorter video noita content out there helped you out with getting people to find the video.
When I get kids I'm going to teach them how to survive life by making them play Noita. Try, lose, learn, try again, lose again, learn more, until you win.
i would say a good 50% of my early deaths were just from tinkering with wands homing pin point of light might be my favorite way to accidentally kill myself! it's an absolute powertrip until your projectile locks on to something behind you and ends your existance in a single frame
A lot of people call killing the boss for the first time beating the tutorial due to the sheer amount of other content in the game. I have 250 hours and still haven’t done even close to everything.
For this game I am really not a fan of looking at the wiki. You can play however you want. But for me it’s a game to experiment in and learn the mechanics naturally.
There is one thing I would really like to ask, when you said 4:20 "I got some bad perks, so I reshuffled them" You showed invisibility being shuffled away. In my opinion invisibility is one of the better perks, however maybe I missed something.
I love that these games, Starbound, Terraria, Minecraft, and now Noita, often have eachothers music played during a gameplay of eachother
Your voice is a deep, rich, chocolate cake, with a little whiskey in the icing.
Spot on
You are too kind :)
I think Kratos would like Noita, that idea makes it better.
and little almond pieces
Definitely the best roguelike I have played. I'm glad my first video was on this game!

I would love a dwarven style minecraft playthrough, vanilla or modded, in your absolutely legendary voice. Even if not, I look forward to your content.
All of my Minecraft playthroughs are dwarven style. Rock and stone!
Had me chortling every time a new track started to play.
Love both Terraria and Noita.
Great video :)
Well, I was thinking to play some Terraria... :)
Good Video. :D But you picking Gold is Forever instead of Melee Immunity actually killed me.
(I'm kind of joking here but the immunity perks are some of the best perks in the game. Melee immunity being one of the best of the immunities)
also gold is forever is a lag generator in longer runs
Back then I was not aware there is a gold biome and money is pretty much irrelevant. It seems that gold is always a bad end in this game.
How have you been enjoying the game so far?
Really well, I managed to get some crazy wands and finished the game few times, even discovered new secrets. I was thinking on releasing a video on that, but I don't think it will be good content. I still find dying to random events as the most enjoyable aspect of the game. I will try to cover some other games in the next weeks.
Once in the snow caverns, There was a propane tank that was under the snow so i couldn't see it. Then I was getting shot at by a Hisi... You can guess how that went.
You have such a soothing voice! You ought to do audiobooks. I'd listen to you all day. 🙂
I am glad you enjoyed it :)
This game has so much depth in how you can die a quick and miserable death.
"You found a powerful wand and you try to use it... big mistake" had me straight cackling. Great video.
Beginners playing noita is premium content. There's a defined cycle of exploration and frustration that's just not available in pro content.
Maybe I'm just a sadist. Who knows.
But I'm very open to watching you play through this and learn.
Nice job capturing the highs and lows of starting Noita, and what makes it so special.
So perfectly encapsulated, and with amazing/hilarious editing together with your great script and deadpan but expressive tone 🎉😊

10/10 NOITA video. I can already feel the suututtaa starting to writhe inside me.
I have about 40 hours on noita and i still dont really know how the wand system works and how spells and mana and recharge time works, but the game is so damn addicting, and i will still continue to play it
You just gotta love it when you go to grab a wand and suddenly a kamikaze mushroom decides the same and blows you up
Really nice use of the Terraria music for the different biomes until Hisi base :) and very accurate descriptions of what gets a player killed ;D
Ezio Auditore out here trying to beat Noita, love it. You also described this game perfectly. You learn what the rules are, try to break them, die, then successfully break them and die again, and again and again...

This game is truly special ❤ good luck my friend
Thanks for making this video! Noita has been my favorite game for quite a while now, I'm 1,400 hours in and my love and excitement for the game has only grown! awesome vid man. you nailed the early experience perfectly. best of luck with your channel and the game! 👍
After my 900th death, this video is like a guided meditation
This man has a voice of god and I am here for it. Subscribed!
the perkele at the start activated my one functioning neuron
Great video, thank you for making and sharing it!
Very nice video! The music choice, the gameplay footage, and the brief description of the game, including an example run, was really great! It would be hard to cover a lot of the details of the game in one video. Anyway, really nice! you earned a sub from me :)
I would never have guessed that this was your first video. It's super well done

VEry nice video!
The best spell in the game is a chainsaw, or potentially a black hole ;)
The greatest killer in noita is hubris... The game knows when you become too confident and immediately gives you a big FUCK YOU in form of (most likely) polymorphine

I knew he would get Noita'd as soon as I heard "I entered the Hisi base feeling powerful."
5:02 that was just a Noita dickmove, haha
I can't believe this is your first UA-cam video, it was really good! Liked and subbed, looking forward to seeing what you do next.
May the algorithm be on your side, lad
Your Voice is what the true gods must sound like.
"A game that doesn't tell you anything, and you have to discover it yourself by experimenting." Yes. Seems great!

Noita is, to me, more of a "heavy metal" type of game as opposed to a "xylophone and violins" type of game, but maybe that's just because of my traumatic early experiences
And as it is with all beginners, they think gold is important. (it is not)
Great first video? Yes!
Very nice video!
I died to a pro-pain tank in the hiisi base that was offscreen because my homing two-frame machine gun of death hit it. Good times :)
Hehe :D
noita is an amazing game! thanks for sharing your experience
3:26 watching this made me feel real pain. if you find an immunity other than maybe toxic, it's almost always the best idea to take it.
Man, I need to play more Noita. I stopped after a few runs ending around the Hisii base. The game is just slightly too fast for my comfort, but I was slowly getting used to it
It may be very albino-inspired but I really love it!
Great video :)
Great showcase of the beginner experience, btw you can get teleportatium in your flask by carefully throwing it in the liquid so that the flasks opening is still at the top. To get the flask back just burn the liquide as teleportatium is highly flammable
if the teleportatium pool is shallow enough you can just yolo and grab it quickly before you teleport away too
Ah Hisi base, where all good runs come to a premature end
Noita is one of my favorite modern Rogue games. It caught the essence of the genre while still being as fancy and well made as a modern game should.
i never expected to hear a song from picross 3d anywhere but in picross 3d

Bro has 21 subs and the most chill voice on UA-cam lmao
5:02 is a certified Noita moment
Very good job for your first youtube video!!
How did i ONLY come across this video
I think its the best indie game to come out in the past 5 years. I do think the edit wands anywhere mod is mandatory though, especially if your just starting out.
You should be in the radio. Gawd damn
Very nice commentary.
Very good, sir. I've always enjoyed noita, only have 500 hours lol. But just know in all that time, I still don't know shit
If the floor is thin enough you can fill bottles with teleportatium from below without it affecting you.
You sound like a very friendly viking
"Noita is about a suicidal witch who believes she's a god" - Another Noita Player.
One of my first deaths in Noita was to my own saw blades. Nothing like your own projectiles flying back to kill you.
if you think the saws are dangerous, try the plasma orbit
Thanks for the video, Torgrim!
My problem isn't the dying so much as the tilt. I "learn" something and then overcompensate and then that causes me to "learn" the opposite lesson. A few rounds of that feels less like progress and more like my brain being pulled out of my left nostril.

Neet video dude. I love this game, You should try again on nightmare mode. ^__^
the lack of snipihissi is disturbing
This is seriously your first video??? That's insane, nice! I guess the lack of shorter video noita content out there helped you out with getting people to find the video.
Perfection.
This is a strange thought but I want to hear you explain everything about different guns and explosives
I would love if this game came with a survivors book like something to educate you about an area without giving too much away
Indeed, I do not like searching the wiki as it spoils the game sometimes
When I get kids I'm going to teach them how to survive life by making them play Noita. Try, lose, learn, try again, lose again, learn more, until you win.
Noita, is an insane game for an insane people like us. I hope the ward won't find me
new awesome content creator??
in long run "gold is forever" can kill your computer, also you can find gold bioms and farm ~250k gold
Your voice reminds me of Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men
Liked the video, but disrespect the pitboss cheesing
i would say a good 50% of my early deaths were just from tinkering with wands
homing pin point of light might be my favorite way to accidentally kill myself!
it's an absolute powertrip until your projectile locks on to something behind you and ends your existance in a single frame
beautiful
i Love the Music!
It do be like that every time
The only game where I've gotten my ass whooped and asked for seconds. The game is cruel but fair. Definitely in my top ten.
This was actually just… really nice. I don’t usually feel… fulfilled at the end of a UA-cam video; dang dude!
Skill issue is the best mod for this game. :3
Noita :)
Me gusta.

I didn't know much about the game back then, so I thought they were bad :)
Bro you gotta get melee immunity, 8 time out of 10 are best option
Congrats on the first vid btw, I enjoyed it
I would sub but you're at exactly 69 and I'd hate to ruin that...
I love noita
this game is more similar to dark souls than terraria 🙃
Best game ever
Nice vid
