My first ever computer was a Atari 800, it was a great machine, underated. The 400 was basically the same I think just less memory? Albert looks awesome! Love the colours :) How much was that USB m8? Why not just downoad the roms yourself maybe? Cool vid as always, brought back memories seeing the old Atari games again....As you're aware I've been watching your vids for a good while now and I just wanna say how you have evolved over the years, your editing and presentation have come on leaps and bounds, great content too, said it before, you deserve more subs m8! Anyway, keep up the good work Jamie 👍
I paid £19.99 for it. Thanks for your kind words mate, very much appreciated. Glad you see the difference from the earlier Videos. My older videos makes me cringe now.
Great video Jamie. Fire Chief looked really good. I might have to try that out. But do not get me wrong. There were quite a few i would have liked to try. 😊😊🎉
Thank you Mr Roar. I hadn't heard of that game, it was it's name that grabbed my attention. It's really well made and the pase of the driving was unexpected.
Thank you Tom. I'm still incredibly new to the system, but I was impressed with a lot of its games. Of, course, there were many that didn't play, but a fair number did.
another fantastic video Jamie, thank you. I see the Atari 400 is now discounted to £69 with Game, maybe getting rid of stock before The A500 is launched with working keyboard, expected in Q4 of this year
Think it's more towards that Game are struggling big time. If you have any Game Card Points, use them fast as they will be wiped out by the end of the Month.
Very awesome games! That Fire Chief could have been made into a great Ghostbusters game. It came out the year after the first movie, it could have been a Ghostbusters classic!

You sure can tell it's an atari from the music, reminds me of my ST sometimes ... I'm not overly keen on these very basic models though, my first computer was ST so i missed out on that generation that had spectrum (although friend had one), c64 (never played) and even the BBC machine (different friend had) then my next one was amiga 1200 in the 90s. I hope they one day make a small atari ST with all the games from the powerpack included at least.
I wonder why they chose the 400 when it was the worst version? the 800 looked better with a real keyboard but it also had a better legacy for the Atari 8-bit line. Probably it was just easier to make without needing to make the keys.
It's all new to me. Never played the 400 and the 800. I guess it was a surprise when Retro Games Ltd announced it. Have you played them as originals before?

Amazing video as always, ready for Atari 400 stream!
Was surprised by Doom there, actually seemed a lot better than I would have thought haha
Thank you and yes, I was surprised too. I didn't think it'll actually work, but it plays well. Just missing the Mouse.

@@MorganJustGames Not me either. Agree 100%
Some fun games there. Seems to be a must have addition for your setup.

I agree with you. I think it could of worked also. I ain't afraid of no ghost.
So strange to see The Last Ninja on this system, even though I know it was released on more system than the C64. 😊😊😊
I was surprised too, but I've still not managed to get over that swamp. Looking at it, it really doesn't look possible, but the music was amazing.
@@MorganJustGames yes that swamp my loord 🫣🤔😬
Where did you get the usb stick from ? Looks great 👍

Appreciate you watching. The system was a new one on me, but it was nice to try something new, but still won't beat the best ones for me.
The song on that mikey is a beatles song
Yup indeed it is. Same as the C64 version also.
The Last Ninja looks like an improvement, to be frank. This version has the tempo on it's side, at least?
True, the extra speed ain't a bad thing.
Thought this was an AMIGA channel?!?!
Mostly, but occasionally other systems feature.
the father of the Amiga were the Atari 400 800 home computers.
