  • Today Beyoncé decided to show us how to use her hair care line Cécred on her real NATURAL hair. We're going to watch the Cécred products go to work on Beyoncé's natural hair as she gets a silk press. I also discuss celebrity hair care lines and if they're really thoughtful or just another cash grab.
What are your thoughts on Cécred ? or any other celebrity hair care lines?

So, her hair is long, thick and healthy from her products? Or, is it from wearing protective styles for 20 years?

    • @SheebahBaby

That woman has been growing her hair for over 25 years. With a SHORT break in 2013 when she CUT it and IMMEDIATELY started growing it back. LOL
Cécred has only been in development for the last 6 years. Her length, color, texture, density and hair health has nothing to do with that product line and everything to do with YEARS of professional maintenance. PERIOD.
Contrary to what her delusional Stans believe…
      It ain’t because she’s “Creole”
      It ain’t because her momma’s a “stylist”
      It ain’t because she’s a “billionaire”
      It ain’t because of “Cécred”
It’s because she has had CONSISTENT professional hair care since the age of 16, including top of the line products, the most current and innovative hair care tools, carefully crafted methods of protective styling and keeping her hair under wigs 90% of the time.

Beyoncé has never labeled this as a product for growing hair… it has been marketed as a product for hair health. There have been good reviews from ppl of all hair textures and lengths saying it revitalized their hair.

    • @SheebahBaby
      @SheebahBaby 26 днів тому +8

@@Literally_me93 No one here said she labeled Cecred as a “product for growing hair”…
However, she does claim via the website that her products reduce breakage by up to 96%… You can argue semantics but that’s just another way of saying using her products will result in longer hair…
But I digress… the original comment is not even disputing any of that.
We’re disputing the idea that the product is what grew HER hair… which is one of the claims she made in HER “wash day” video.
At this point the products are irrelevant… For me the issue is the facade she’s putting on to sell these products.
Whether they’re good products or not there is literally no reason to lie to your fans to make a dollar.
It’s weird and honestly as someone who respected her business acumen … I really thought better of her up until this bullshit.
If the products are really all that she says they are in her advertisements … then this whole “wash day” mess wouldn’t be necessary…
      Yet…here we are…. 🤷🏽‍♀️

The fact that she hired an African scientist as the CEO was a buy for me. Read the bio of the scientist that she hired to develop the line and her background. No other big brands actually hire black women. They are a bunch of people who are not even black or brown selling products or funding them. Cecred is 100% black owned and operated and developed by a scientist with a PHD with patents.

so what? Just because it's black-owned makes no difference. She isn't showing us the benefits of the stuff she chooses to put in her products and why it's good for hair. She doesn't use them on herself she's at a salon. Who can't wash their own "natural" hair, and maybe give some tips? This is another failed venture for her. She needs to stick to singing or become more real.

Her line is very similar to many products already out years before. I do like she tried to be more organic, it seens, to make the products more user safe. I don’t see a difference with celebrities lines as opposed to established companies. There are good ones and bad ones on both sides. I think you have to personally try it yourself and take what most people say with a grain of salt. My advice would be to pay particular attention to how your hair reacts to certain ingredients and formulations.

The best thing to do is low manipulation to stop breakage. Which must of us are doing now! Either way we’re all beautiful no matter how much hair we have on our heads 💕

Long hair can be hereditary, but it’s certainly not needed to grow long hair “ if you know what products to use, and a steady hair care regime” you can grow a persons hair long, without inherited bloodlines being involved. There are many people who do this, specially back when I was growing up. For example the people of Chad in Africa, grow the most of their hair long, except the very front portion “ which they like to leave short. But from using Chebe mixed with Gee, a type of fat or tallow” some have grown their hair to ankle length, most prefer hip to knee length. This is proven, the hair that the call concoction is not used on stays short. This is something that you can research yourself, there are several natural herbs “ when used in the proper manner, will grow your hair tremendously. Blessings 🙏🏽

I think it's mainly for people with wavy, straight, or relaxed hair. Some people with loose curls who reviewed it liked it but at the same time some didn't. Most people with tight curls that I saw review it didn't like it and cited many cheaper alternatives that performed better (because they're targeted for their hair type). I think the shampoos (esp. the clarifying one) are more universally liked (even the people who didn't like nearly the entire line loved the clarifying shampoo).

    1. Not all stylist are knowledgeable about all hair or hair care. As a natural who straightens, I’ve gone to many stylist once because of that. 2. A lot of her haters don’t have much hair to know what long natural hair looks and feels like-especially after coloring and when working with styling products on anything other than high heat. They’re simply judging something foreign to them, it’s asinine.
My 2 cents on your questions from the video: You don’t need to consume everything out there. If you want to try some of them, go based off your need and the value you’ll get. Buying a clarifying and hydrating shampoo and even a deep conditioner will never be a wrong thing to do for anyone that washes their hair unless the product doesn’t work AT ALL. These have been proven by a diverse group of small channels, stylist, and big channels as working well. As far as treatments to add on, only do so if you need to so that means assessing your own hair.
Her price point isn’t considered expensive to me as o buy Olaplex and other brands at that price point, but there’s some products I have that are below that (deep conditioners are a hit & miss for me the most, so I stick with one). Ultimately, what works for me may not work for you so you’ll have to try it for yourself…or not. Personally, I’ve never bought an entire hair line. Ever.

Beyonce is mixed. Also look a pictures of her as a kid. Her head was full of hair. Look at Blue and her mama. Head full of hair. The woman is a billionaire. She can grow her hair. Oprah is a billionaire. She got crazy long hair. Of course that is her hair. Is it the product from her line, maybe it is but I know her product is not a cheap product like Suave from the grocery store. Regardless it is a good product. Like so many other new black hair products out there.
The thing is we black women now have options! there are many options. People can find what they like. White women have had lots of options for years. Glad black women now have lots of options for hair care products. Because when I was a kids (80s baby) all we had was Blue Magic, Pink lotion.
    Now we can all
Pick and choose what we prefer. Regardless if you like Bey products or not at least you got a choice. P.S. blue magic is just vaseline with blue food dye color!

Before she was using Cecred, she used Carol's Daughter, that's what her stylist said only a few years ago and her hair was already long, it's a gimmick to sell a product that she just started "recently" using. I don't doubt that the product works, im sure it does if science is involved but let's be honest. Beyonces mom is a hair stylist. All of beyonces pictures from childhood showed her real natural hair. She dyed it later on and it broke off but otherwise her hair has always been somewhat long.

So you seen her SCALP up close, seen her part multiple times throughout her head, seen how coarse her hair is from the ROOT and somehow it’s lace? They don’t MAKE lace that good dumb dumb 🤦🏽‍♀️. It’s her hair… stop being weird

She said IN her video she’s been coloring her hair for 25 years… I’m a licensed cosmetologist and bleach and color loosens textures over time… especially bleach because it breaks the bonds in the hair which is why blonde hair is much more fragile that dark hair.

You heard mix reviews because there were people with dreadlocks. Nappy nappy nappy afros. Everybody wants the same results. Beyoncé is getting, but they haven't used the product longer than a week and they have not been using the product over a year. Like you have to put in the work. You have to change your die. T it's more than just the hair product, so don't think you're gonna buy this product. And end up with how Beyoncé's result is because. She is beyonce

This comment is nasty and hella Anti-Black.
And you’re also lying because the Natural Hair Community has grown beyond texturism and expecting products to alter our curl pattern to look different than what grows out of our damn scalps…
Nobody and I mean NOBODY who has reviewed this Line has said they “want Beyonce’s results”… and we know that because the product has been out since February and Beyonce just showed us her damn hair THIS week. So that’s a f**king LIE.
Your comments are not only ill-informed but also deliberately ignorant. Using terms like “Nappy Afro” in a derogatory tone is particularly nasty work. 😒
The reason the reviews are mixed is because everyone’s hair is different. The products will not live up to their claims for EVERY individual, because the state of each persons hair is different.
This is why Hair Professionals (who know their damn job) have to assess each head of hair to determine what products are needed to achieve the healthiest hair possible for each individual.
Cécred’s line is designed to strengthen, restore and help to maintain LENGTH.
      • Clarify
      • Moisturize
      • Treat
      • Condition
      • Hydrate
      • Seal
Each of these directives comes with a standard expectation and many of the Naturals who tried the products either had middle of the road experiences or really loved one or two of the products. (Par for the course with all product lines because as I mentioned, everyone’s hair is different and needs different things).
But at the end of the day, their staple products performed better and were more cost effective.
That’s not the same as … “My hair don’t look like Beyoncé’s so the product must not work and I don’t like it”.
That’s some BULLS**T you just made up. 😒
As For Beyoncés hair… That woman has been growing her hair for over 25 damn years. With a SHORT break in 2013 when she CUT it and IMMEDIATELY started growing it back. LOL
Cécred has only been in development for the last 6 years. So again, please cut the bulls**t.
Her length, color, texture, density and hair health has NOTHING to do with that damn product line and EVERYONE to do with YEARS of professional maintenance. PERIOD.
      It ain’t cause she’s “Creole”
      It ain’t cause her momma’s a “stylist”
      It ain’t cause she’s a “billionaire”
      It ain’t cause of “Cécred”
It’s because she has had CONSISTENT professional hair care since the age of 16, including top of the line products, the most current and innovative hair care tools, carefully crafted methods of protective styling and keeping her hair under wigs 90% of the time.
And ***NEWSFLASH***… there are THOUSANDS of Black Women with textures from 3A-4C that have found trusted professionals to care for their hair and their s**t is down to their a$$ cracks.
So please stop this foolish narrative that Beyonce is some magical Unicorn with Rapunzel Hair thanks to Cécred and we should all spend our money buying her line, use it consistently, eat healthy and “wait a year” to see of we wake up with “her results”…
GET THE ENTIRE F**K OUTTA HERE. 🤡
