The people who hate Rogue for this have no idea to know how it's like to have everything in front of you but cannot have it. As a gay man, Bae knows what he's doing.
@@falconeshield You know what urks me? There are mutant supressor collars yet Rogue never thought of having Beast looking into that and make her a bracelet for exmaple that cancel her powers to touch gambit. I know its just the writters not putting that in but there is a difference between not being able to have what is in front of you then look for it somewhere else AND having ways to get what is in front of you but choosing the simpler option.
@jackhanver1420 i think the very flimsy reasoning is it would conflict with her pro-mutant identity, that it would be admitting her powers are a curse and she would get rid of then if she could....even though basically her whole character is bemoaning her powers and hating them. They really do treat all mutations the same. People like Gambit look normal and have control over their powers whereas the Morlocks are all deformed and get no real benefit from it. It's like saying you are a proud diabetic and would never deny your identity by taking insulin. It's just dumb.
It's ironic that the reason why Rogue cheated on Gambit was because she could not touch him because of her powers. Normally, most fans, honestly that means just me and what I assume to be what others think, would have thought that it would have been Gambit that would be the one to cheat yet he was loyal and mature till the end.
Gambit got a merciful death, not having to live a life knowing you weren’t enough for the one you truly love 😔
I respect Gambit, and understand Rogue. Her being deprived of something so vital, and him understanding where she's coming from. 😞

She didn't though? They did touch hands but the training room implication was an illusion no?
@@falconeshield Morph said it best, they were in the training room way too long and she did choose Magneto before she realize that Gambit was right.

I mean at some point, she's right. Who want to be with someone you cannot even touch, especially during sex. Beyond their connection.
