I loved that, when Kendall pulled out her adoption papers and shoved them in Erica's face, "THEN EXPLAIN THIS!!!!!!" BAM! Proved Erica and Dimitri wrong! and EVERYONE got on my nerves! They all safe guarded Erica like she was the child and Kendall was the big bad monster who was evil. Kendall was the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Erica: where did you get this?(Erica gasping for breath at the disbelief that her first born would show up)
Kendall: these are my adoption papers, I'm the only one that got a right to them that's how I got them!
Listening to these rants shows how both Gellar and Lucci are stellar actors. The fact people hate Lucci/Erica shows she can act and ditto for Kendall.
And there goes Erica blaming everyone else for the way she acted towards Kendall. Maybe if Erica wasn't so rude and mean all the time to other people Kendall wouldn't have left.
I know one thing why does all the kane women do out the history of pine valley always getting f***** whether willing or unwillingly they are always getting f***** and always having unwanted pregnancies must have been of some kind of curse put on them
You're blaming Erica? Kendall was outright terrible to her in those initial months. Erica was justified to be skeptical of Kendall's ulterior motivations & her manipulative angle.

No she expected a mother to recognize her child. Bianca did when she took Miranda from the bursary when they thought she was Bess. Erica did when she took one look at Miranda.
Kendall doesn't know she was product of Rape. She thinks Erica had her and just gave her away without a second thought.
I'm glad to see Myrtle in these scenes. She was always a delight to watch

I feel so bad for Kendall, seeing how Erica treats Bianca versus how she treats her. I get that at this point Erica didn't even know Kendall was her daughter, but I can still imagine it probably hurts like nothing else to see your mother fawning all over your younger sister while treating you like you're nothing.
Ah but the beauty of watching it all shift after this actress left & we actually had to watch the new Kendall bond with Erica over a very long & VERY dramatic period. A great new version of Kendall & the storylines that led them to each other were some of the best in AMC fiinal years. To say Kendall earned her way into Erica's heart is putting it mildly. Covering up Bianca's murder of Michael Cambias & almost going to jail for it was the turning point (..Bianca blacked out. It took over a year before we found out Kendall knew but covered it up to protect Bianca..) but it had to be great tragedies & high drama to make us believe they were now so close. By the end Erica & Kendall were like twins & Bianca almost seemed like an after thought. It became a Cinderella story for Kendall.
Thank you for posting this I love this show!! I miss my soaps watching these takes me back

I am SO glad taht Erica didn't get the fairy tale ending she wanted after all the insanity and BS she put on everyting her entire adult life It was only fitting. She lost the oppurtunity to be the movie star she walways wanted and the only man for her Jackson. The conclusion proved that after years of being manipulate, selfish and arrogant, she was now old and all alone!
I loved Erica and Dimitri, they need to bring him back for the finale so he and Erica can reunite. Erica and Jack never did it for me.

I always thought Kendall should have been the secret daughter of Erica and Tom Cudahy. That in 1980 when Erica left Pine Valley (Susan Lucci was on maternity leave), and her marriage with Tom dwindling, that Erica learned she was pregnant off-screen. She couldn't abort the fetus, so she had the baby, and gave her up to the Harts. And the reason she would have done this was so she could continue on with her modeling career. I didn't like the rape-twist in this story. Plus it would have given the wonderful Richard Schoburg more to do.

This show should have never went off the air next to One Life To Live. At least General Hospital is still going.
Both shows had been losing steam by that point where as General Hospital was just always ''ratings bliss'' for the network...........

And it was about time that somebody put Erica in her place after all the cattiness she herself put on other women in her lifetime. She got knocked down quite a few peg. Women should be sister or mothers and daughter not calling each other cruel names. Kendall only showed that she was her mother's daughter and now it was Erica's turn to pay. There's more importatnt tings in life than glamour. I'm so glad that Erica never got her happy ending on the last ep because she never changed since first ep

I totally agree with everything you say. What a wonderful treat it was to see Erica get her comeupance after all the pain she inflicted on others my making her own daughter be here worst enemy. It was very fitting! And to not even acknowledge her just because she was a product of the rape. It wasn't Kendall's fault. It was the sick pervert that raped her...and then we learned later on that her own father allowed it to happen and that Vanessa knew so they themselves were just as guilty!

I simply love soaps!! In one way or another I'm hooked on so many;D Now I've seen some AMC clips,it's great(to bad it's ending:() I've seen some Loving/The City clips and Guiding Light it's amazing and the only reason I saw some clips was because of Laura Wright(GH;Carly) and AMC becauce of SMG, but I'm, hooked they are great;D I sometimes watch One Life to Live and Bold and the Beautiful. And I LOVE General Hospital(the best soap ever) and Days Of Our Lives;D
I turn it on every now and then to see if one of the vets I recognize pops up. I know their starting to pay a little more attention to their history and merge it in with stuff that happens today. If I see somebody I don't know, I don't bother to watch. I prefer the older stuff.(I guess I'm a bit old fashioned LOL)

I hate when Erica at one point says that she can barely look at Kendall because she has the eyes of her rapist. She has the eyes of her Grandmother too. Mona had beautiful blue eyes. I realize Kendall has green eyes, but Richard Fields had blue eyes too.

GH was good at one point but now I think it's the worst show on television. They screwed it up to kindgdom come. However, I have read on websites that their doing what they can to make major improvements to save the show from cancellation. So maybe bit by bit, their revitalizing it, so that there's a steady balance of all the ingredients that a soap opera requires.
Sadly GH is still awful.

She would have been 24 if they stayed true to history. Erica was raped at 14; which would have been 1969. This episode was 1993. But I understand they came up with some madness where Kendall was born in the 70's to keep Erica younger.

chalk it up to children of major characters never being the precise correct age that they oughta be LOL I always thought it a bit too bogus. Just not realistic and hard to swallow. They have to make it believable enough even if it is the land of make believe.
carly and kendall tie kendall did it in front of Erica while carly did it behind bobbie back not knowing it was her own daughter destroying her . difference was carly was justified and kendall wasn't . that been like carly believing all lies Durant tells
et wee Carly wasn’t justified. Bobbie was always nice to Carly. Erica treat Kendall bad from the start. Also, Kendall did not know that she was the product of rape so her conception was a bit different from Carly’s. Finding out that she was the product of rape really messed up Kendall. Carly’s led a path of destruction. She didn’t just mess up Bobbie’s life but Tony’s, AJ’s, Jason’s, Robin’s, and Michael. The list is long. I do like Carly now but looking at old clips of her, she was just vile.
Carly actually Wasnt justified. Kendall was. Carly would have been accepted by Bobbie had she told the truth while Erica never would have accepted Kendall no matter what
