  • Artificial Intelligence. A groundbreaking innovation for humanity that has seemingly seeped into every conversation across a wide range of companies. With so much buzz around this topic, how are investors supposed to sift through what is useful and what is fluff? Nancy Tengler, Laffer Tengler Investments CEO & CIO joins Yahoo Finance to breakdown two stocks that have Wall Street talking: Broadcom (AVGO) and Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG).
Tengler gives extensive insight to both companies, commenting that Broadcom has recently received a debt rating upgrade from S&P Global, shows strong capital return, with dividend increases to shareholders, and are actively expanding company exposure to AI. IPG, on the other hand, seems more defensive on AI, with a weak 2024 revenue outlook, and concerns about organic revenue growth, Tengler argues.

I started buying Broadcom shares 5 years ago when it was around $200. It's now $1,280. I don't feel like a poor man.

I dont see Broadcom as AI stock. I only see how Apple would like to get rid of Broadcom.

Apple can't even make 4g / 5g modems even after buying the entire IBM development team since the iPhone 7 disaster. No way Apple can create their own chips better than Broadcom without stepping on existing patents. If Apple wants to make something memory and storage would be the easiest.

Broadcom AI area of interest is in their semiconductor solutions for the likes of Google, Meta, and Amazon which do not want to get heavily dependent on NVDIA. They also provide high speed communication solutions for data transfers, which is critical to AI applications due to the amount of data processing needed. Their acquisition of VMWare will also provide synergies for the cloud + AI ecosystem.

💱The key to knowing the state of the economy. Question: Can I afford in the Biden administration what I could afford in the last administration? And the answer is: NO, you cannot. If you are living your life on credit, you do not even own your life.

Inflationary pressures are always present over time. Brand new cars could once be purchased for under $9k several decades ago. Cost of schooling, houses, you name it. It is just the nature of economic reality. The recent inflation that impacted the United States also impacted every other country. It was induced by supply chain issues directly cause by global lock down. If you’re not able to calm down and make these very salient observations, then there you have it. Things eventually get more expensive than they once were. Look it up!
And by the way, these great United States are doing the best across the globe in economic recovery!
