Everyone loved Youth Shikamaru and starting to hate him for thinking rationally in his older age, also he has the whole leave village under his responsible. HE HAS to act rationally both as advisor or Hokage. This chapter showed us that the old Shikamaru is not gone. He is still one of the goats.

Shikamaru is like Batman if he has prep time it's pretty much over for anyone, but he's also a super genius that can also think on his feet being ten steps ahead of anyone he faces. I'm waiting for him to do something epic
Something I wanted to mention about Shikamaru having more trouble with Omnipotence than Amado is that Amado is, throughout, a scientist. He values the evidence over his memories, his physical work over his mind. Shikamaru is a strategist. His mind is his most powerful weapon, and he doesn’t have the physical attachment to physical evidence that Amado does.

Tbf, he's probably much stronger on paper than he used to be. Just not as strong as Boruto (which was Boruto's whole plan anyway, get so much stronger that no matter what Kawaki tried to pull he could just whoop him easily and treat it like a child throwing a temper tantrum. And bro seems we'll on track! 😂), and like he's gotten kind of complacent.
Kawaki's whole thing when we met him was his edge, it was part of why he could compete as well as be could, and he feels like he's lost it. Gotten too comfortable in his BS new life.

Sasuke is not dead but he is sealed and his concusiness was absorbed by the tree (which is like a failed god tree as it does not have otsutuki chakra) so there is an evil sasuke ten tails clone named hidari that decided to go after Sarada to cut off his connection to humanity. But Boruto and Sarada have said it is possibly to unseal sasuke and save him.
