  • Hi lovely people - just thought I would come along and share my truly junky journal. The pages have been formed using painted over magazine pages, and then I have combined Readers Digest images with some other vintage images from books to form the basis of my journal. I hope you like it, thanks for watching, and I would love it if you could subscribe to my channel and give this video a thumbs up. Thank you, Tinax
    oh forgot to say, the blue background papers that I have used are now available in my Etsy, they are called Dawn Mist if you wanted to check them out. X

    Loving the paper ruffles and lace/book page corner. Lots of inspiration today. Do not be ashamed of your desk. Whenever I clear a space to work in the cat plonks himself down right there. I often end up crafting on my lap because there is no room on my desk. xx

    Thank you Tina for this very enjoyable video. I just love the vintage images you did use in this truly junky journal. They are very nostalgic. With naming the pale grey- blue background papers Dawn Mist you hit the nail on his head. Beautiful kit. I don't think people will be horrified looking at your desk. They will be curious like me. So, please, grant us a look at your desk. And bear in mind that nobody can be creative at a tidy desk. A tidy desk refrains one's creativity.

      Thank you Debby, I enjoyed working on this journaling. My desk.........I might give you all a peak soon, but I would have to issue a warning ⚠️ as to SHOCKING CONTENT, WHICH SOME PEOPLE MIGHT FIND DISTURBING! Lol. Seriously, I might, but I have to say I haven’t ever seen anyone show their craft space because it’s such a tip, it’s normally because it’s just been cleared......... but yes, I definitely find it helps inspire me having stuff everywhere x

    When you say you paint magazine pages, do you mean ‘glossy’ magazine pages? Also, when you refer to emulsion paint, are your speaking about ’gesso’ (which is quite expensive) or inexpensive white acrylic paint? Thanks! Marjorie

    This is what I thought of when I heard the term junk journal. These are new to me and I had noticed how much of the pages are covered. It seems to leave little space for writing. Then you commented something to the effect of needing to work on all the pages. Am I missing something? How are these types of journals meant to be used? Btw, this is not just you, but several people I watch.

    • @shabbydabbydoodah
      @shabbydabbydoodah  5 років тому +2

      Hi thank you for your comment. I understand where you are coming from. Basically anything goes really, if you wanted one with lots more journaling space, then just decorate it less. However, they contain lots of pullout pieces, tags etc which are for journaling on x
