That is a ridiculous comment! Baby doesn't have the brain power to think it hurts but not too bad! She screams and cries because it HURTS!! Not the way it would if it was being done to you right now!! You have the where with all to know it's a quick pain and then over!! BABY DOESN'T!!

It’s not that as drabatic as they make it out to be, people act like they’re being stabbed or something, so stupid.
This baby is so beautiful and she didn't cry much but I wouldn't do this to a tiny infant. Let her grow up and then she can decide for herself. I pierced my ears with a similar needle when I was a teenager. I had used a clothespin clipped to my ear lobes and after a few minutes of that I pierced my lobes. They were very numb and I didn't feel any pain at all. Both ears turned out well. My parents allowed me to make that decision myself and didn't interfere. Nevertheless I wouldn't pierce a newborn's ears especially not this way. The straight pin worked well for me but who knows how it works for a little baby. Seems cruel. It isn't funny though. Not at all.
