My mizuno wave ignutius 4 have lasted me the last 5 and half years on turf and they are still together. Those things are tanks. I still also have my pair of wave ignutius 3 that are still together after 7 years. Mizuno’s are built to last.
ASICS destaque7 is very nice as well while tiempo is the king of split
Thi is why I was a huge fan of the Puma v10 and v11 SL's, having stitching all the way around the forefoot.
Loving the content keep it up
Aren’t those legend 5 the pair that had been in the poop flood, Jamie?
Og sr4u fan
Exactly what I was gonna ask lmao, maybe it was only one of them
Lmao hes holding poopy water cleats
One boot wasn't on the floor, so I kept it. One of my all-time favorite pairs, so I couldn't let it go!
Bring back the personal opinions and pros and cons series
Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please bring back the Tiempo Legend V's and keep them in production forever.
If those are 10.5's, can you sell them to me?
Just wanna say thanks for the video
The cost of saving a gram or two has cost riveting the soles on. I go though twice as many pairs of football boots than Rugby boots, Rugby boots take more abuse (I'm a forward so serious abuse) but the soles are riveted at the toe and heel.... Food for thought.
Is there any solutions maybe double socks ?! My son keeps complaining abt it and he's really loving his superfly 360 honestly getting good performence every match he still feels bad abt his shoe after all and i'm sure buying another won't make things better
Helpful, thanks!
Best in the game since the hypervenom phantom 1’s were a thing
Hey josh can you please do a comparison between the speed boot takedown models of the three big brands.
my X Ghosted.1 lasted 1 month
Ultra 3.3 review
For me i have 2 football boots that i still use (one sg and one fg/ag) after having them for over a year or so and there's barely any splits signs
What type of boots are they?
I don't buy expensive football boots. They split just the same as cheap ones. Pure ripoff. They should add stitching and rivets for durability but then, they just want you to buy more pairs. At least i feel less disappointed when cheap ones split open.
I bought some low top end predators about two weeks ago, in just two trainings the boot was already broken in that area… I don’t think that’s normal
Same with my copa sense.1 😡
Nice video
Hi,
I have a problem with my thumb, namely I need shoes for a wider foot that are high in front.
Do you recommend puma ultra 2.3 or puma future z 2.2?
had the fg superfly 5(I think 5) mostly turf for games and practices used em for a year and my plant foot (left) opened in the front but not my kicking foot (right) and it was before I would use my weak foot more consistently any thoughts on what it could be
bru my football is peeling its a literal potato 😂
this is the worst when i play on turf usually, especially If it’s hot outside.
I had a pair of Nike MagistaX Proximo turf and this happened on the very first time I wore them! That was the last time I bought Nike shoes...
maybe dont buy shitty takedown cleats then
nike is the best brand dumbass
@@chremzie8059 maybe he can’t afford high end models
@@lewismonelle3728 he shouldn't generalize his opinion of nike when he can't even buy there flagship models tho
get what u pay for
This video came out just as the soleplate of my mercs decided to leave me
thinking of buying the mercurial vapor 14's, does the soleplate comes off after a few wears? cus personally im a finesse shot typa player so im just afraid the side of the soleplate wld wear off
@@airb0rne887 I have the ag version and they’ve held up really well, nor sure if fg is as strong though
@@RB-vb9wy Fg is usually much more durable than AG studs
@@RB-vb9wy ohh heard the fg placement studs are much more aggresive but i mostly play on artificial pitches soo yeah might buy the ag version. Thanks mate
@@martinh1309 he’s talking about the overall durability of the sole not the studs themselves
I have 2 pairs of nike boots and 3 pairs of adidas, both nikes split apart within weeks (if that) and all my adidas boots are still going strong and had them for ages. Nike is just a joke for boots
I miss those tiempos!
My favorite boot I’ve worn …. Wish I bought an extra pair they lasted about 3 years before the leather was stretched too much
Me too 😢
This happens with Nike boots much more frequently than others imo
For me it happened alot with addias
@@enexonyfn7721 same
Same with Nike
Adidas and nike same quality they both made in china by someone payed 2$ a day
@@enexonyfn7721 same
So good to see Kevin Volland giving tips.
🤣🤣🤣
Puma King Platinum. Split toe within 3 matches. Heard all kinds of trouble with this.
Probably why they made a thicker Leather version for 2021!?
usefull video. thanks jesus
Happened to my Neo 3 Beta Elites after ONE wear, sent them back immediately
They should have put rivets in those.
Was going to get a pair since josh always recommend them. Anything I should know more about the morelia?
@@DungNguyen-ij6en the original morelias are built better than the neos. But the style may not be your thing?
@@wtfx5757 kinda like the speed boots vibe the neos have but I concern more about durability. Since I cant afford the mij pairs, how do you think the Indonesian/Vietnamese made pairs compare to other topend boots for Nike, adidas, or Puma?
@@DungNguyen-ij6en Indonesian is still fine. Literally the same sole plates and general construction. I had Indonesian Morelia classics and also MIJ neos and Indonesian neos. Barely any real difference except for the price. Not worth the upcharge for mij in my opinion. Also, I highly recommend the new tiempo legend 9 either in Pro or elite. They are both awesome.
Ahhh for real I hate this it happens me too all the time.. It's always with my leather boots.. Nike stopped enforcing the leather boots with suede at the toe now all the tiempos ripe easily.. The synthetics last forever basically... Nike need to fix this
I play mid field so I love playing chip passes or hard curving over head balls. I had to stop chipping the ball as much because I would ruin my boots soooo often… it got expensive
I miss the good old days when sole plates used to be either riveted on or stitched as well. Those were the days of quality my friends.
Thanks this actually really helped also my mum just ordered me pure grip socks😋
Hello Josh. Please rank academy/3rd tier versions of boots. Thank You.
This happens to my rugby boots because the mick gets inside of them
My 14 year old son completely destroyed a pair of Superfly 8 Academy in 5 months. They dont seem to make them like they used to.
Because 1. They’re not made to be the best- you get what you pay for. Want better cleats? Pay the $275 not $80. I’m not saying ur wrong, I think cleats are stupid expensive and no way in hell I’m paying that much money for marketing tricks, but when you pay $80 for a shoe that the top tear is 275 you’re not getting good quality. And 2. They used to make shoes a million pounds. They’re lighter now and more focused on performance. As a result the thin and light materials are less durable.
My Tiempo 9 Pro TF split after 1 session. Send then back to Nike straight away. Kind of happy because they gave me two huge blisters in that session. Now I bought the Mercurial 14 Pro TF and my first two sessions were very good in those. Haven't used a Nike speed boot since maybe 2012. Feels way better even though I loved the Tiempo's before.
my first pair splitted after 3 sessions, changed another one splitted after 2 sessions. Fuxk that no more tiempo gonna change to vapor 14
ive had 3 pairs in a row break at the toe on my left cleat
leather on cout or ASTRO - less durable than synthetics
Hey Jed, what should I buy, phantom venom pro or phantom gt pro
I am a guy who's his feet is between US 9 and 8.5, I am more like 8.75 if I buy 8.5 it's too tight and very uncomfortable whick leads me to buy size 9 boots which fits perfectly but the problem is it leaves like 1.5 cm between my toes and the tip of the boots which results of me hitting the ground on multiple occasions.
So I am just unlucky with my skinny weird looking feet lol.
Same but I’m like a 7.75
hi, i’ve only played one game with the puma future and the next time i used them it got seperated
what puma futures did you have?
Okay but why did the thumbnail remind me of the twerking amogus?
Can we get more turf shoes concert please ?
17th?
I have a little place from my toe to the end of the boot but nike exchange policy is only 7 😭 so i will wait till this gets damaged fully and claim warranty and then get size 7 👍👍🏾
i got some tiempo legend 9 elites. one game and i already got some separation on the toe. idk what to do.
I’ve have my speedflow .1s for around 3 months and the toe is already deteriorating
RIP
My Nike Phantom GTs haven't gotten that issue at all after two years of constant play & they fit a bit big, on the other hand my Puma Future 1.4 & Puma Ultimates keep splitting after one season of use & they fit me perfectly😒
I’ve paid $370 for a higher quality boot and the sole plate crumbled
How big of a part do you think soleplate rivets play in durability?
First?
I had adidas nemezis messi for about 7 months. Pretty solid boot but wouldn’t recommend buying it if ur using it on turf. mine completely exploded after those 7 months
I have some new balance furon 6+ and this happened 30 mins into using them what do i. do
Plzz tell me someone is this normal of tearing At the tip of my toe of my boots are 2 weeks
I think I figured out I was causing the problem by dragging my feet trying to make big throw in's
Me, the guy who drags his toes, then wonders why the soleplate is splitting at the toe 😀
Bought New Shoe's Splitin the first week of wearing them
My Mercurial Superfly 6 Pro started to brake after 3 or 4 games, and now after 10 games it's screwed up. Stitches beetwen base and part of heel that is not studs (cause it has separated studs) started to brake and now its messed up. First time ever I had that problem with durability.
Not my Mizunos or my German made Adidas Copa Mundial
Any tips for peolonging usage once you notice a split starting? My son gors through boots very quickly (2-3 months; or shorter). Just curious if you feel something like gorilla glue/super glue can help extend life.
If dirt has gotten in between the soul plate and the rest of the cleat, clean it then apply super glue
I had the tiempo legend 4s and they had zero issues at the front of the boot but all the new boots do 🙄
can somebody recommend boots that don’t separate easily
Mine exploded at the side of my big toe on my doninant foot, thanks for the video
I saw this thumbnail is a previous video
WHERES QUALITY CONTROL
Lol
I just bought 3 pairs of the pure grip socks!!
just afdter my predator freak.1s broke
i had my brand new top off the line predator fg boots less than a month and i started to get spitting
Adidas boot more durable then nike boot
The water on the pitch, or dew in my case as I primarily play in the morning, ruined my boots as soon as there was any sort of split in the boot. Glueing and stitching didn't solve my problem either.
Because you have thousand of them
I've never commented this early
I've worn #8 since I was a kid and it was given to me in hockey.
My boots are almost completely seperated after 4 months for normal use, is it normal?
If you play a lot and are typically hard on your boots, 4 months isn't necessarily abnormal.
Any hacks to prevent the wear and tear of the leather on the toes of leather Mizunos??
Wear is part of wearing your boots. There's no way to prevent that.
YES JOSH!
