  • You can really touch history in the Columbia River Gorge! That's what we'll do as we explore a scenic highway that's coming back to life with new opportunities to travel and see the gorge sites -- esp suited to hikers and bikers along newly restored sections of the historic Scenic Highway -- built in 1915 -- as we touchdown at Eagle Creek, Oneonta, The Mosier Twin Tunnels and newly opened Viento State Park -Starvation Creek Trail

One of the prettiest drives I’ve ever taken. Worth a trip every time we’re up North!

This is great to keep people and bikes out of the high speed traffic. We had great fun on rented e-bikes.

NOTE: Oneonta gorge was like Disneyland before the wildfire in Sept. 2017, the gorge was filled with people all waiting in line to get over a logjam some people were wearing sandals and slipping on the logs! PLEASE wear watershoes with good grip if you go when the place reopens whenever that will be.
