    My older brother was a HUGE Leon Russell fan and introduced me to his music. Always loved his cool factor.

    Well, a Leon Russell reaction! .... pretty thin on the ground!
    I like a lot of Leon's work, he's done some amazing stuff, with a lot of people, turns up a lot on other people's records.

    Leon had been a session pianist for years before going solo. Sir Elton called Tulsa native Leon one of his strongest influences. ( PS.. before seeing him his voice and style made me think he was a black artist).

      Yep - 1971; he also played piano on Badfinger's EXQUISITE gem "Day After Day" that year (with one G. Harrison on slide guitar.....)
