This is the technique I use as well. Ppl swear its mine (even those who should know better). I don't do the baby hair. I feel it looks more natural without it. You did good.

So I tried this exact crochet braid using your tutorial and it turned out so pretty, full yet not too heavy. However, I found that towards the middle of week 2, the hair was pretty matted. I had to cut/trim the hair practically every day to keep it looking sane and even then, I found I could only wear it one style to remain cute. It’s a shame because I try to keep my crochet hair in for 3-4 weeks.
For those reading, if you want this hair to last longer, I suggest not splitting the hair into two pieces - just keep it whole. You might need more packs but the hair will probably last two weeks longer.
So true!! I have a love hate relationship with Lulutress Water Wave because it's natural looking, inexpensive but it's behaves so badly over time, especially when you split it😩
I agree right now I'm wearing multiple curl patterns. I have lulutress in the bac about 3 rows anD its my least favorite pattern. I split all the patterns snd the waterwave is the most tangled.
Next time I'll use a different pattern along the nape and I won't split the watereave along the back of my head to prevent tangle.
I like how it feels however the tangles are not the move.

@@bridgettebrown7262 I tried it but I can't remember if I mixed it with something else. I didn't immerse it in water but it did actually tangle. I constantly had it in a pony tail. To be fair though, I wasn't taking care of it that much. It looked cute though. A lot of people thought it was my hair.

Always struggling to get my hair detangled and going through hours of treatment to make it healthy sometimes makes you wonder if it's worth the effort... So yeah, I'm blessed to have it even if sometimes is hard to deal with
What do you use for the maintenance of the hair? It looks moisturized after you’ve worn the hair awhile. Just curious how you keep the hair from getting stiff and matted. It looks so natural!

Because crochet hair has more of a permanent pattern or texture that cant have heat any manipulation and then theres tangles and matting. Theres pros and cons
@@daisyrose5302 The thing is sew ins are expensive, time-consuming, and require much more styling and maintenance. When synthetic crochet hair becomes matted it can be removed and re-installed on the same braid pattern. Human hair crochet is also available and that would still require less styling than sew ins.
This is a life saver cause I cant braid my her that good so blending in it will make a huhe different. And more money for myself😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️

Using two different wave patterns really creates an interesting look. Teasing the knots is a clever way to hide them. I like your natural brushed edges too. It’s a pretty way to give the delicate edges of your hair a break from the gels, waxes or other holding products. With or without make up, you look as pretty as Solonge Knowles🤗! deep wave is the REALLY CURLY one. WATER WATER is a LIGHT curl! ❤️
goatMiaMia nope. Water wave is the hair that’s super tight and could. Deep wave is the looser one that is a bigger wave
That edge control makes my hair grey too. But if you put a little water on it, it won't disturb your edges and takes that white/grey look away because it's water based.
