This by far is the most informative and interesting videos I have seen on home/business security. A lot of great ideas in here for future sales and service. Thank you!
I like the Battenshield door bar system, but in most suburban residences in America it would only be of use if the glazing on all large ground-floor windows and sliding glass doors could be replaced with the Riot Glass panes shown just before that. Sliding glass doors can otherwise be breached in a couple of seconds with a rock picked up from the garden.
I love the Battenshield, pretty cool design. Way too expensive. I don't have any sliding glass doors, but I have brackets on all my exterior doors for 2x4's. The Battenshield is $1300. For under $15, you can buy two brackets and a plank and get the same level of protection, it's just not as elegant. I am thinking about building my own version of this that can stay mounted on the door, but I'm fine with just manually putting the plank in place. Battenshield sells the exact same setup that I use, that I paid about $10 for, for about $85 on their website. Most hardware stores carry those brackets which are specifically designed to hold a 2x4 as a door barricade.
Americans love paper door. Here in eastern europe only safe doors with minimum with 2 locks. My one for example made out of steel and wood 4 locks outside 5 inside.
03:30 Notice how none are shown being hit near the sides or - and especially - the corners? This is probably because those are weak points for any glass, and probably also goes for this type.
6:10 how has nobody came up with something like this, before now? Everyone with an older sibling, knows that once you get a door shut, you can stand with your foot on the bottom of the door and it's almost impossible to get through
Did you just stumble across this video and assume because it was here it was new? these have been around for decades, heck a simple wedge has probably been around since the creation of the door... xD
@mianki100 yes you are right, it is not related. The 'new' and 'old' they were talking about were 'never made before' and 'the idea is as old as the door itself'. While your 'new' was 'I now have it and didn't have before'
Some of these are practical, but some are fairly extreme and may run afoul of fire laws that require exit doors have locks that can be quickly and easily disengaged, even by children and the disabled. If you make your doors intrusion-proof you have to do the same with your windows. I imagine that the Riot Glass is quite pricey!
If I was a criminal I would definately buy a couple of these products , such as the Riot glass and the Battenshield to stop the police doing a surprise 5am raid on me , it would give me the time I needed to dispose of evidence
6:10 That's an awful lot of space under that door. Easy for under the door attacks with the right tool. 4:20 That would be expensive.. Feeding her, giving her a room to stay, educating her up to college level just to have a door locker on call :D 9:58 Good for schools. Breaks glass, reaches in and undoes rope or reaches in through other doors and cuts with bolt cutters.
Wait that tire shredder operates until 140 degrees Fahrenheit? Seems pretty low, a hot street could reach that temp easily. What happens after 140? The electronics don't work?
If streets get that hot routinely---and I cannot imagine they do so---how in the world is the world still driving at all? Tires would blow out constantly, rendering the whole of citizenry helpless, yes??

That's called a reinforced triple locking security screen. It allows you to open the main door (fire door) to see who is there (or view the cctv) , tell the person to nick off then close the main door again.
I visited my Uncle in Key West and his front door opened outward. I asked why and was told in strong winds from hurricanes, it often will blow the door open from wind pressure if it opens inward .
@@CalmoOmlac Just relaying what I was told by him. There are all ways other doors that will let you outside but not into the wind. it's part of the building code. goggle , key west homes doors open outward law
9:57 This design spending too much time, why don't use a piece of strong steel plate with a hook flip to other side hold the door handle, this movement will not even a second.
The last one would be perfect in schools. The other one a wont thought so this one is small out of the way unless needed easily operated and more universal
These products are amazing at the same time it kinda worrying , like in an emergency like a fire how would fire fighters get in to the house if the glass is unbreakable and the door is like super locked ?
The best question is WHY don't they give these to schools The one I heard of said when the question "what about security and protection" "We're adding more cameras" (no new cameras and the ones already there was already all view)
This is what we desperately need for cars & trucks that are entering an interstate ramp in the wrong direction. How many lives would it save? Everyone going the wrong way..
Use to have a door club years ago and it made entry almost impossible short of mechanical. Went in floor next to door and could be used like a door chain to open 2 inches or none. Simple install drill hole and install 4 inch screws in the hinges of door.
On 7:19 this product is old in india... In old city like jodhpur jaipur barmer bikaner. U found it easily... And this system is too old and work with high accuracy...
yeah battenshield imagine a child that forgets their insulin locks themselves in their room because of an argument with their parents or they decide to lock you out of your own home.
4:53 yes only need hand drill and hand saw go in wooded door. thats how easy it go in house. scary? or faster way from window. there is no secury thing if robber just come. he come. locked door is just this is mine you cant come. lock are designed to open. you can lock pick locks too lol. scary?
The HEALD HTI RAPTOR is an amazing invention to stop crazy out of control trucks, specially suicide bombers with truck load of explosives. Convenient for tourists. 6:05 onwards, all those door stoppers: MEH. They only work when you are inside the home. None work to protect intrusion while away from home.
apparantly most of these door lock manufacturers forgot that doorhinges keep doors upright lol... that cord lock had me ROFL though xD cuz you know,,, cords are impossible to cut xD
Time for "The Lock Picking Lawyer" to have a go at all these
7:40 if you’re mounting a security lock with drywall anchors, it’s not a security lock. It should be screwed into a stud.
I noticed that too
I get a sick and twisted sense of glee when I see vandals furious over strong glass, so the riot glass was amazing to watch!
This by far is the most informative and interesting videos I have seen on home/business security. A lot of great ideas in here for future sales and service. Thank you!
I agree. One of those UA-cam videos I wish I could save.

Yea, its also bulletproof but I was thinking what is police need to shoot through the window?
or take a hammer, crush a sparkplug, and throw the ceramic at the window.
@@sirpixile4207 Not bulletproof. The rounds went right through. The point was to show the glass still holding its shape.
@@Ruefus Right. When a thief shoots glass, the goal is to shatter it.
I mean, it's probably a good thing. Sometimes you need to break it. Still, a thief goes for the center.
I need those screens for my cats 😆

That speaks volumes about your character, even if you're "joking." It's well known that 'out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.'
It looks dangerous but it's very safe !😱
well put together video with no fluff :D good job.
That screen is intense! Don't let it become a trap though!
The first thing would be wonderful at every pedestrian intersection. Also tow trucks would benefit from them as well.
The door the little girl was closing that had the to planks and Rotated and locked and secured the door was pretty cool
The thing about lifetime warranties is that the company has to be still in operation for you to get your money back.
PUT THESE IN SCHOOLS FOR SECURITY TODAY
This was AWESOME!!

The “Armored Glass” are cool and all but, what if there is a fire and ur inside and the firefighters can’t break the window…

we hit 118F often here in phoenix in air temperature, so 140 pavement temp would be easy to hit
Easily resolved with an internal fan. Doubt that estimate is for the pavement but instead the ambient temperature around it.

i also noticed he didn't use the claw side of that hammer to get into the screen.
Nice inventions. It's GG. Nice.
Some of these options shown might be good at keeping people out, but what about a fire when you need to get our really quickly?
especially the stick behind the door is a complete game changer
informative video for criminals.💁🏻♂️
This shows how dangerous humans can be!
For the screens, they should market the to Cat/dog owners
they need to change the name of the "Riot Glass" to peacfull protest glass
I like the one door lock that is slide under the door as there is no trace of it left behind-namely no damage
A lever under each exterior "wing'' & push the door in as per usual... 😎👍☘🍺
Great ideas
She ran to room and locked the door yet I would just kick the sheet rock wall down lmao 🤣

Bollard fits in the architecture but destroys the opposing truck, safety first
For the outdoor protection: why just install door so it opens outwards?

If every family at my kids' schools chipped in $5-10 (or even less) each, we could afford door blockers for every classroom.
You'll need enough locks so the parents can also have enough time to chip in their own guns to save the kids since the cops won't go inside now.
In first world countries door blockers on classroom doors isn't even a consideration.
