BEAN chasing these Qi gems for what feels like forever!

As I continue to chase after the elusive Qi Gems, I continue to build up my farm for further gains once spring comes since collecting these beans takes FOREVER. Why does Qi want me to suffer like this? Was he our former boss at Joja Corp or does he just enjoy bringing suffering wherever he walks?
