Bahut achi jankari sir. Kuch din pehle Maine aapko ek radio ka bataya tha jo year 2007 mein ₹120 ka aata tha uska name Kaide KK9 hai. Us time ka sabse advanced portable radio tha, Multan ka bhi receive karta tha, par ab nhi milta Maine bahut try Kiya 3-4 saal se. 🙂

Dear Pravinder Ji,
A very nice, to the point and honest review. You have very nicely spelt out the D-220's Pros-n-Cons. You have said it 'AS IS'.
After watching the review, I feel that the D-220 needs to be compared with the D-219 (I own this radio), since both these XHDATA radios are almost identical in features and fall in the same category i.e. pocket radios. Also their pricing is near about the same. When comparing the two radios, I would be much interested to know mainly the following:
(a) Quality of sound.
(b) Ease of tuning, especially on the FM and SW bands.
(c) Sensitivity and selectivity.
The above comparison will help our viewers to decide between the two radios. And for me, whether I should add the D-220 to my arsenal.
Unlike an analog radio, its a well known fact that radios with DSP Chip are a bit finnicky (caused due to 'Muting') while tuning a station on any band (FM/MW/SW). However, once the DSP radio has pulled-in a station, it locks and stabilizes the signal to its optimum strength, thus giving a clearer and stable reception. IMO (and that's just MY personal opinion), I would prefer an analog radio with a digital frequency readout, like the Tecsun PL-600/660/680. These are radios that cannot be beaten by a DSP based radio as far as ease of tuning is concerned. However, recently Tecsun has launched/likely to launch its much talked about S2000X model which, though DSP based, will get rid of 'Muting' and thus provide the best of both worlds i.e. DSP radio that can be tuned just like an Analog radio. But such radios will come at a price, a hefty price tag.
Looking forward to a comparison review between the D-220 & D-219. Pravinder Sir, you are doing a great service in promoting the RADIO and help keep the radio alive. Keep up the good work sir.

Par minimum 40hrs de hei deta hai jo ki (1rs per/hr) hai :P aur led light remove krke bhi kuch farak padta hei btw sir mujhe lgta hai mera d328 ise ek acha radio hai jo rechargeable bhi hai aur sound toh apka uska jante hei hai. main night ko wohi sunta hu aur woh meri location se pakistan ka lahore station clear pakdta hai. Baki Apke aane wale comparisons ka intezaar rhega ji.

Lattest means an improvement on the previous technology. But d-220 is not a successor of d-219 in any aspect.
I have also booked it after the hype on youtube and received my parcel yesterday. But now I am feeling it was not a good decision to buy it after having d-219.
We can't fire more than 1000 INR for merely a portable radio having dsp technology or the brand name of xhdata which has released some better products before and now earning with fooling the Indian customers.
Many Indian companies are also launching dsp radios in this changing era of technology. So, dsp is not a very rare technology now.
New d-220 is lagging behind from the previous d-219 in audio quality, sensitivity, selectivity and SW band spread also.
So, the viewers should take a wise decision before purchasing a newly launched product.

I have nerver changed my ways of how or where I put Radios while tuning for performance check or comparisons; how slow or fast I tune them.
Just like, for a mother, all children are same, for me, every Radio has been dear to me and I love them all.
I may have picked faults in many Radios but I have never disrespected any of them ever.
Regarding this model, perhaps, they wanted to bring a pocket Radio in the market.
But it's not just India, they have released it worldwide.

But our most of the radio listeners live in the villages at distant range of signals. Generally people consider the next variants as updated variants from the previous one. Such radio listeners may be impress to watch its various positive youtube promotions preparing for the company as a thank for this freebie.
I meant to save my Indian viewers from the promotion policy of company and the online store.

562D or 562DD were analog and very good on MW/SW but average on FM.
562DD2 (the one we get these days) is dsp based and is very good on FM, above average on MW and below average on SW.

I just bought an XHDATA D-219.
In shortwave bands a powerful station in my city bleeds in and interferes with shortwave signals makes many of the signals inaudible or blocked. but when that MW station stops transmission in the evening for a few hours and shutdowns in the night after 11 pm I get very good reception of shortwave stations. Is it normal for a powerful MW station to bleed into shortwave bands of D-219 radio?
@@user-mf9nu2ml9q ji, yes absolutely, it is normal. In budget Radios (in fact many times in expensive Radios too), the circuitry can't handle powerful nearby signals.

Tuning indicator does not affect reception quality. If this is the case then the power indicator will also affect the reception quality.
@@ankurjaret4934 ji, actually power indicator is ON continuously. In some models, when you tune a station and then suddenly this tuning indicator goes ON, there is a hissing noise and a minute difference can be detected.
Perhaps use of low quality components maybe the reason.

Agar private FM hain to unke aksar kam power ke hote hain.
In any case, aap 3 element yagi antenna bana sakte hain, channel par videos hain isake, easy hai
