    Fascinating, for display, I would AC source to lite-up the filament and try to get the Anode rotating, but (as you say), - no Anode Volts! Brilliant find, and all the best.

    Yes, that tube would be from the 70’s or even the 60’s. Looks like it has not done much work as the envelope goes black from metal deposits and the target surface gets eroded. Should be easy to get the anode to spin, the stator coil uses a phase shift capacitor same as some AC motors, maybe 10 or 20 uF and use a variac to reduce the voltage so it does not spin too fast. Filament will run on 6 volts if you want to illuminnate it, surprised how much they sell for on fleabay, I have taken a lot out of service from old medical systems and they end up getting scrapped.

    It is probably meant for operating under a mineral oil bath or similar.
