She may be sick or just tired from recording for songs her new album. Don't worry, she gets sick often and always comes back to her great vocal shape. Her technique doesn't really change, it's just condition of her voice, when she's healthy and rested... she can destroy Jessie J and pretty much any other soprano with her technique.
I love her, I just think she might be pushing too hard into a direction which she doesn't need to. I like to take "I Won't" as an example of a beautiful and soulful song.

I don’t think she intended to hit the high note. Maybe she intended to lower the song an octave to where she could perform it live.
