Why is the goods in transit recorded under the head office instead of the branch in the SOFP since the branch are the ones receiving the goods

On the statement of financial position the bonus issue is recorded under the branch and the branch is maintained at sales..why is it recorded under the combined business when the combined business is maintained at cost
