Town of Salem is a social deduction game similar to Among us and Goose Goose Duck. Among Us/Goose Goose Duck allows you to play the game with up to 4-15 players, Town of Salem allows up to 15 players in a single game.
Like Among Us/Goose Goose Duck, you can be good or evil with factions such as Town, Mafia and Neutrals. Among/Goose Goose Duck us has 2 roles (without mods), town of salem has 33 different characters in the base game. Town of Salem is a great alternative to Among Us/Goose Goose duck if you're looking for another game in the social deduction genre. Every jest & fake exe's worst nightmare: being confirmed as town
its more like a jester's worst nightmare, being confirmed town as exe is really good actually.

What is it about Townies being convinced VFR is an evil thing to do, I’ve been mislynched in 2 different games for asking for claims then doing VFR when no one spoke
Exactly, VFR only harms evils usually, so unless all evils are 100% ready to claim and have convincing claims, it will only get some evils killed
Well in this game the hardest anti VFR people were maf and the amne jest.
Jest to probably get pushed and maf cause not wanting vfr is such a evil thing, it clearly sucks more for them than town.
Yeah it's pretty rough as well trying to find out if it's a dumb townie or an evil pretending.
I do wonder if the people who think VFR is bad just haven't thought about why it's important
In All Any it's necessary, but in normal games it's dumb and boring. Town already have much better chance to win, and it's another tool to help town. If you're mafia and first or second in the list, you might as well just leave since you're most probably dead anyway.

I did the opposite once. I was the SK and I kept loudly announcing I was the SK and telling everyone to hang me. After every murder I'd say it was me, I did it (regardless of mafia or SK murder, that was key to the plan) and every night I would announce who I was gonna kill (and only actually went for every third or fourth announced victim so it looked like SK or Maf were trying to frame me) I had the whole game convinced I was a Jester and sucked at it.
I made it to the final three before they caught on and lynched me.

That was insane. It’s amazing how much jester hinges on players being smart, but also not too smart. You should not have gone that long without being sus. Also the fact it was down to three evils at the end...

If you are not Jest, you immediately get voted up in a lobby of people who can smell the difference between different dust types.
If you are Jest, you are in a lobby where nobody knows what color the sky is and you make it to the end.

its really the fact that on *DAY 6*, no one noticed that the jailor's will was up to N4 and not N5.

Mafia screwed themselves when they decided it was a good idea to kill the amne jest (a person who was being QUIET). The amount of times I've been jest, acted very sus to make sure evils get the memo and gotten KILLED instead of a CONFIRMED townie AAAAAAAAAAA I'M MALDING. Gg pipton, good video as always :D.
Fr, I tried the D1 Jest claim tactic and instantly got killed by maf, 2nd try i got lynched for being truthful though! 3rd time once again, got killed by maf WHEN I CLAIMED JESTER?
Moral of the story: Mafs have a problem with jesters ig
You know what I don't get. Claiming Surv D1 and getting attacked N1 by any evil role.
Why? Either I'm a Surv, a Neutral, an immune role, or there's a 5% chance I'm a hidden Townie. But there's a much larger chance you get doused or hit an immune. It makes no sense to attack a Surv claim unless you have a Powerful attack.
Even if they didn’t think you were jest, they shoulda at least thought u were an nk with defense
Imagine being town in that first game ''8 wants people to claim, get him'' has to be the dumbest thing i've heard and even if it was a evil push, the townies that fell for it probably have people that need to dress them in the morning.
Yeah, let’s just sit around and do nothing while mafia and neutrals kill all our important roles.

Jest n1 so couldn't and was then lynched. surv claim was protected by GA, so they might have tried but prevented by GA and not felt it worthwhile to jail them again
Did you ever think of the possibility that jailor thought GAs target was mafia and didn’t want to risk trying to execute 15 but failing because of the GA protecting? This way stops the GA protecting and lowers mafia’s voting power more reliably.
I feel like tournament-style commentating on a game full of classic players would be helpful and so funny

End up getting confirmed Day 3 by lynching Coven in my fake result
Coven takes it personally and tries to poison me, big mistake, crus was on me. Medusa left
Mafia end up visiting the vet that night, boom mafioso and janitor gone. Framer turned mafioso left.
Mind you there's a PB, an Arso, and a Pirate in this game. the Arso ignites night 4 then visits the Medusa night 5, PB is killed by the Pirate night 3 but pirate is ignited night 4.
Medusa dies to vigi night 5.
By Day 7 it's Me (Jester), Veteran with 1 alert, and Mafioso claiming Vig. Vet and Maf push me thinking I'm the Arso and ho boy they were wrong. I get hung both guiltied. Mafioso tries to kill vet, maf dies, I haunt Veteran
And that's how I got my first Jester only Win

Been thinking that the way to buff Jugg might be to mask his identity as various NK roles:
- He'd start with Basic attack and defense and could attack every night starting from N2.
- First kill, he'd appear as SK and gain Powerful attack.
- Second kill, he'd appear as Pirate and gain Rampage (this would be a dead giveaway if the Jugg targets an active townie and town pays attention, but exceptions can happen...).
- Third kill, he'd appear as WW and gain Unstoppable attack.
- From there, he'd appear as Jugg in all following kills.
- The killed player would always know they were killed by a Jugg, buffing Medium in the process.
This would make it harder for players to hunt the Jugg as a kneejerk reaction or out of jealousy for getting such a rare role.
In contrast, the way to nerf Jester might be to increase his impact upon death:
- Anyone who guilties loses their day and night ability until the next morning.
- One of the players who guiltied or abstained gets haunted by the Jester.
This wouldn't give the Jester any extra tools to work with, but would pressure everyone else to respect the Jester more, making it harder for him to get lynched.

I remember I ended up accidentally screwing mafia over as an investigator claim as a jester. Ended up playing myself because I got confirmed as investigator, got 2 mafia lynched, and killed the next night.

I know the feeling of trying to come across as sus, be it as Exe or Jest, and ending up 'confirmed' because my 'info' turned out to be... well, true. ^^; Glad you got the win here, though!

One of the dumbest Jester games I ever had. I claimed LO randomly and said I saw who the SK killed, by picking someone at complete random on day 2. I was hoping it'd be a mislynch and I get lynched the next day. Town did lynch it....and it was the real SK. HOW DO I EVEN?!
On n2, if 3 is actually BG they can confirm you by not telling you who they are. I'm not sure if it's all random, but if it's Medusa it's an easy stone target. Since you told everyone their only risk is if you are actually tracker. As BG confirming tracker you never tell them who you go for.

What 7 was pointing out was that Jailor's will said they were jailed night 4, but mafia killed the amne-jest that night. So he couldn't be maf, according to Jailor's will.

omg i have not though of this game in ages. i used to play it all the time pretending to be Solomon Grundy and always start every sentence with Solomon Grundy. i got hanged a lot, but Solomon Grundy always likes a good hangin'

I only just got the game and coven dlc, what mode would you recommend i start playing? i tried coven all any but it was super chaotic and unfortunately i got an evil role and didnt really know how to play evil because i havent played any town role before
classic mode
The first coven game I played was lovers mode but if this is the first time playing the game in general I recommend normal classic for a few to get the hang of it

even stuff like classic TT shouldn’t be too bad since the queue’s firing again, but I don’t recommend that for a newbie lol

imo the play was to whisper 7 that you are 2nd jest and NOT amne jest at the end of d4 then try to get lynched d5, because you are a good jail/exe, probably one of if not the best by n4
