- Опубліковано 10 лют 2025
- In this review of the Royal Enfield Scram 440, we dive into the differences between the Scram 440 and its predecessor, the Scram 411, focusing on key upgrades that make the 440 an exciting option for adventure bike enthusiasts. From engine performance to handling, we’ll compare both models in detail.
Key Differences:
1. Engine Power and Performance:
Scram 440: Powered by a 440cc single-cylinder engine that produces 30.64 hp at 6,500 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
Scram 411: The Scram 411 uses a 411cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 24.3 hp at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
What's New:
The Scram 440 offers a noticeable bump in power, making it a more capable bike for both city commuting and off-road adventures. The additional 6.34 hp and 8 Nm of torque provide more muscle for tackling tougher terrain and cruising at higher speeds.
2. Suspension and Ride Quality:
Scram 440: Features a 180mm travel front suspension (up from the 411’s 200mm) with a 150mm rear travel, providing better stability on tarmac and light off-roading.
Scram 411: Offers 190mm travel front suspension and 180mm rear travel, designed for more rugged off-road handling.
What's New:
While the Scram 440 has slightly less suspension travel than the Scram 411, the setup has been fine-tuned for better highway comfort and handling at higher speeds, offering a more balanced ride overall.
3. Handling and Ergonomics:
Scram 440: The Scram 440 has a 790mm seat height and a 1,350mm wheelbase for a more relaxed riding posture.
Scram 411: Features a 795mm seat height and a 1,370mm wheelbase, which, while still comfortable, may feel a bit less agile compared to the Scram 440.
What's New:
The Scram 440 offers slightly more comfortable ergonomics for taller riders and is easier to handle in urban environments, thanks to its slightly shorter wheelbase and lower seat height, making it a bit more maneuverable.
4. Braking Performance:
Scram 440: Equipped with a 320mm front disc brake and a 240mm rear disc brake, combined with dual-channel ABS for improved safety and braking performance.
Scram 411: Uses a 300mm front disc and 240mm rear disc, with single-channel ABS.
What's New:
The Scram 440 brings an improvement in braking with a larger front disc and dual-channel ABS for better overall stopping power, especially in wet or slippery conditions.
5. Technology and Features:
Scram 440: Features a semi-digital instrument cluster with a trip meter, fuel gauge, and gear position indicator. It also includes a USB charging port.
Scram 411: The 411 comes with a more basic analog instrument cluster without features like gear position indicators or the USB charging port.
What's New:
While still not as high-tech as some competitors, the Scram 440 offers a more modern and practical instrument setup, with added features like the USB port and gear indicator for enhanced convenience.
6. Pricing (Approx.):
Scram 440: Starting around ₹2,50,000 (in India).
Scram 411: Priced at approximately ₹2,15,000 (in India).
What's New:
The Scram 440 comes with a slightly higher price tag, but the added power, improved ergonomics, and upgraded features make it a compelling option for those seeking a more refined adventure bike.
Verdict: The Royal Enfield Scram 440 represents a clear step forward from the Scram 411 in terms of engine performance, braking, and overall ride comfort. With 6.34 hp more power and a refined design, the Scram 440 offers more versatility for both city rides and off-road adventures. While it’s not perfect for hardcore off-roading, it’s a solid upgrade for riders looking for better handling and a more comfortable experience.
However, if you’re on a budget, the Scram 411 still provides great value for money with its rugged off-road focus. But for those who want the extra muscle, better braking, and modern tech, the Scram 440 might be worth the extra investment.

The scram 411 always looked really cool, this updated 440 looks even cooler
Exactly 🙌
Hello Nitish, I want to upgrade my Meteor 350 with Scram 440. Do you think its worth the upgrade?
Your signature style turning radius test is missed Nitish, hence the Pune roads are missing you. One thing for sure, you have reduced significantly after shifting to BLR. Reviewing the bikes on NICE road would be nice. The top speed can be tested there.
Namskara hegidira hit me hard 😂❤
Ha ha ha keli Khushi ayitu 🙌
Scram 440 has max power of 25.7 hp not 30.64 hp
Most awaited video
Thanks bro🙌
❤
❤️❤️
You reviewed everything right except the fact that you were testing the tractability of the engine on 6th gear. I mean the knocking from the engine was literally audible on my phone's speakers. I request you that this isn't the way to test the low end or tractability of any engine. Please don't abuse the engine in the wrong way.
I've ridden the 440 and it is seamless in terms of the tractability of the engine. But if you expect the engine to pull from 6th gear effortlessly, I think you've been mistaken about testing motorcycles.
What about the mileage that this bike provides?
Which one is better for touring with pillion and all accessories
Triumph scrambler 400x or re scram 440
Scram has bigger and better seats
400x

440 and both are different
@pdemmy8709 Yes Sir, but am confused on which one should I go with after the test rides.
Central stand is with accessories. It's not standard.
It's standard.
which is better scram 440 0r maruti suzuki 800?
TATA Nano 😂
You cannot go slow in lower gears in scram 440 like you do in classic 350s😢
Yep, that’s right
What I Realised Now Is RE Is Just Producing New Motorcycle With Fancy Design And Higher CC Engine But There Is No Eagerness On Providing Solution On Issues With These Fancy Motorcycles Which Lack Quality Now... My Himalayan Right Side Pull Started And Started Vibrating After Tubeless Wheel Installation. Since One Month They Are Not Picking Calls Neither There Is Any Call Back From Them. RE Support Is Just Responding With Standard AI Generated Responses. It's Time To Boycott RE. I Have Been A Fan Since 11 Years Now I Have No Issues On My 9 Year Old Thunderbird 350 But Himalayan Is Showing Real Picture Within A Year... Very Disappointed
I totally understand bro and I’ve had my fair share of issues with my Himalayan 450.. started with clutch plate burn and then with the tubeless wheel mess. However they have rectified it everytime with me.. touchwood 🤞
@ not everybody get same level of attention. You being specially privileged they can’t take risk of getting defame on social media. My first right side pull issue was resolved when I uploaded a reel with dealer name and when that reel went viral enough to reach Pune RE Regional Head. Then finally I got call and issue was resolved. What about general public who buy their dreams by planning and saving for years to finally get such disappointment. See if you can raise it and get required attention from RE and help majority Himalayan 450 owners who are facing this issue

These kinda comments scare me to go for a RE
@ I would suggest wait and watch .. many Himalayan 450 owners are suffering and not getting any permanent resolution. Basically design itself has imbalance when we talk about right hand side pulling problem. My opinion now RE is only focusing on sale and least worried about service and customer satisfaction. Buy at your own risk ⛔️
*Competition ka Zamana hai Bro*
*RE needs to beat her Rivals Harley's & Triumph*
*To Stay Active in the Game*
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Absolutely and this bike is perfect to beat the competition
RE to competitors... Mundha... 😂😂😂 Bring whatever you wanna bring i shall bring uska competitor...
Ha ha ha ha 🤣
perfect point to be noted
@@NitishNeo ty : ) bhai
Power and torque is low as a 440cc engine
jyada nahi bikegi ye bike. iski jagah himalayam 440 lana chahiye tha.
Tab Himalayan 450 ka sale kam ho jayega na, isiliye they won’t do it
@@NitishNeo haan RE waalon ne yahi socha hoga. but both bikes have different type engines. 440 delivers its maximum power in low rpms but 450's maximum power in higher rpms.
i like this bike but the colours are very ugly looks No class at all. Old Himalayan 411 have some of the manly💪 colours.
Colours are subjective bro.. there are a lot of people who like these colours.. you can always get your bikes wrapped 😁
I did that with my Himalayan 450 😝
