Excellent presentation... it would be highly beneficial to have a short series, in very simple language that summarizes Usul-ul-Fiqh, that includes these topics as well as others. Is there something like that available from Shr. Asrar? Or some other online resource you guys could recommend?
By Allah to understand mentally of Khawarij, you don’t have to go far! Just look at the mentality of modern day self proclaimed different Salafi groups!!!!
Plz adress them with titles like shaykh or mawlana. At the end of the day, they are those that have studied the deen and are more knowledgeable then us. Remember only those who have respect and good manners will be able to benefit from knowledge
Actually, imam al-Qurtubi states in his tafsir it was the opinion of Ibn Abbas and jumhur of scholars (majority) that Iblis was an Angel. I think ascribing this towards the majority is a mistake. They said this based upon the aya stating all angels bowed "except" Iblis. So they interpreted this as he was among the angels. This is according to them the apparent of the verse. As for the Quran stating him being from the Jinn, they interpret it as Iblis was from a high rank group of angels called Jinnah. But Iblis being a Jinn is the most widespread opinion today.

The most important principle known by necessity is to WORSHIP ALLĀH ALONE WITHOUT ANY PARTNERS. No surprise you Barelwis have difficulty saying it..
