Great episode! I worked in the casinos of AC in the 80's thru 2011 and have fond memories of the clubs there. That town came alive after midnight and we went to the beach when the sun came up! Good times. Thanks John and Felix. I need a bat and that website is showing as "toes up".

John, do you have any personal insight into the beef between Merlino & Stanfa's "gang that couldn't shoot straight"? I'm from South Jersey and that whole thing was close to home for me, not like anything crazy cuz I was like 8 years old. But 2 of my distant cousins were killed during the war, one was with Merlino, the other brother stuck with Stanfa.

Scarfo went way over the top with killing his own guys. He was jealous and suspicious of everyone. His attitude of "killing people and blasting them right in the street" like an old time gangster film was not a good idea. He went way too far with it. The SalvieTesta hit was outrageous. That was his best friends son and he didn't even break any rules. Scarfo used his calling off the engagement with Merlino's daughter as a reason for people to dislike him and he used that as an excuse to kill him.

John you need to get your facts straight. I like you so don’t take offense to this. Joey did not take over after Scarfo it was John stanfa who took over. Joey went to war with stanfa during the 90s and when stanfa got arrested Joey took over and won the war. That was around the mid to late 90s. Joey made Ralph Natale and made him the boss just in name. Finally Joey has and always will be the prime suspect who went into Dante and Luigi with a Halloween mask and shot Scarfo jr 8 times with a Mac 10. He didn’t hit any vital organs and he survived
