mad respect for that blue Aeon player... He takes so much beating, but just keep going. I don't have that kind of resilience, and would have gave up long ago...
Very very interesting and close game! Two important things you missed: The Duke went down with the very last breath of that massive T4 attack of Chosen's. That was really really close and game deciding. The nuke was destroyed by that Chicken at 1:10, also very very close. Dunno if it was loaded but I think there was no defense at that time.
Hailing from USA, Texas. I just had to say, the flu has NOTHING on norovirus. Last year norovirus came over here infecting my brother then myself. I can't say I have ever felt closer to dead. *Apologize for vulgar imagery here* The spewing from both ends, the fever, the aches, the dehydration, and it didn't stop for about 28 hours for myself. Man.... you all deal with that once per year!?!?!? I'll be happy if I NEVER go through that again in my LIFE!!!!! Glad to hear you and your family made it through ok though, rough stuff. And always, thanks for taking the time to cast always fun to watch!!!
is the sacrifice feature worth it though i mean i can sort of see it as a very desperate thing with scu going into an exp or preventing an enemy getting vet it otherwise seems like you won't get enoough out of it compared to making use of the engine how would you use it
No Gyle, no no no no. @ 00:01:32 Its not: "... and see what the hell went down!" It's: "... and see how these guys are going to get on!" This is not 'nam, this is Gyle cast. There are rules.
Something not seen every day: Surgical strat-assassination strike, with full extraction of ASFs, mission accomplished. 21:35 Also amazingly enough, this happens almost on queue just thrown into the lap of the commentary. And Gyle is not amazed. Then the laughter at 29:35, as if inserted from the background. Creepy.
That instant-Colossus was cool as fuck, however, I doubt it was actually the best move. He what, 6 SCUS? I think it would have been better to spread them out and start reclaiming buildings and building T2 PDs. The problem with the instant GC is that this entire attack is reduced to a single unit, so Coolgamer and Sandwich can focus on a single target with Mercies, Gunships and so on. That's actually easier to take down than half a dozen SCUs that are quickly building stuff. Still, I am glad he went for the GC because that's something you can tell your grandchildren about :)
There's pros and cons to both really, I think the GC was the best move, he used it to wipe out their economy (It took out almost 10 T3 Power Generators, that's a LOT of power being lost) which I don't think you need me to tell you that's pretty critical late game and I wouldn't be surprised if that blue guy ended up getting screwed extremely hard because of that alone
"It was a special time for us. We have a tradition in the UK, you might have it as well, it is called the Noro Virus" priceless, just priceless! XD XD XD
Gyle, to avoid people getting 360p at first, schedule your uploads to (however long it takes to upload them +30min), that should take care of the processing time.
***** You seriously need to upgrade, it should not be too expensive this days. Go make patreon/whatever_else goal for donations and buy yourself new hardware.
Gyle, please expand the chat window to be more than three lines. 5 is probably a better size. Right now if more than one person talks at the same time, especially if they say something long enough to span multiple lines, you miss a lot of what's said. Other than that a great cast as always! :)
What a game that was. Kinda boring start(at least for me) and sad to see that 2 players from one team had to leave/lost connect/quit or whatever happened there, but man that later part of the game was well worth it.
Some fun facts about Chosen's TeleGC: This happened every once in a while about six or seven years ago in stuff like hour long phantom games, back when nobody seriously made SCUS. The last time I did it was in 3599 in a 2 hour phantom crossfire. When FAF reduced the price of SCUs to make them viable, TeleGC was effectively removed as it required something like 20 of them to do it compared to 5 or 6. It is possible again because of SCU presets, which build the SCU at a much higher mass cost, allowing sacrifice to dump a large amount of HP into the target.
Cabal is an organic lifeform enhanced with a complex AI (artificial Intelligence) developed by The Brotherhood of NOD scientist during the end of the First Tiberuim War which was to replace the old captured/replicated computer AI EVA from GDI covert military network (Global Defense Initiative).TW1 started back in 1995 ever since the discovery of a strange crystal like substance that has crash landed near the tiber river in Italy dubbed as "Tiberium" and ended around 2019. before I ever played Supreme Commander/FA I got into playing other RTS's like the first decade of C&C games but I would never touch any like Starcraft or C&C 4 Tiberian Twilight...
+NodCommander The HAHA! Well spotted sir. Before I started playing eve and conjured up the Gyle persona my gamer handle was Kane... (in various formats)
+Gyle Such disappoint. Surely the glorious GDI is the UEF of the C&C world. Nod is basically Cybran with their red and black colour scheme and general stealthiness.
+Simon Stannus i just loved the nod story in C&C 1. they had some cool stuff like the obelisk but i actually used to prefer the GDI. Make no mistake Nod were terrorists, but kane was a badass.
I've wanted to do tele SCU insta GC for forever and never got a game where I could, very jelous of chosen right now XD p.s. I'm pretty sure Aulex was the original mastermind behind that plan
I wet into my own private match and tested the whole teleport support commanders into the enemy base and sacrifice them to build a GC. In this video he built an entire GC with like, 5 support Commanders. In my test, done on the current version of FAF, sacrificing 10 got it to about 75% So I'm not sure what he did differently lol, but it looks like it takes 15 support commanders sacrificing themselves to finish a GC. It makes no sense that he was able to do that... because support commanders don't put that much build power into a GC when they sacrifice themselves to build it. If you teleport 15 support commanders into the base, your best bet is probably to throw up a shield, then like, 2-3 T1 point defense (If there is an Aeon air, just to take care of mercies) and then start throwing up as many T2 PD as you can all over the place. Everything you build will be instant lol. The GC only works if the enemy ACUs are close by. He didn't have idea where they were, and in fact, they were off safe elsewhere (Like white who was in the water). If the GC is a must I would at least send some extra support commanders. That way you can sacrifice all you need to build the GC, and the rest can start building point defense and all that. It makes it so your opponent has more to worry about than just the one experimental, which by that point, isn't such a huge deal. Plus I mean, the game would have been over right then and there if he had even one extra support commander along that could have built T1 anti air to shoot down the mercies. The GC would't have been killed. Plus think about it. The teleport upgrade is expensive. It drains your energy like nobody's business. Is it really wise to put that many resources into a support commander, just to essentially delete 15 of them for an experimental you could have otherwise just built normally?
+Triaxx2 To give a serious answer: Because it makes snipes pointless in larger multiplayer games. Which means it's more unlikely to have a comeback once the opponent is leading. It also means players are turtling more and risking less which means overall more static and thus boring games. Just watch enough of Gyle casts and you'll notice that most games are kept interesting because one player was eliminated alongside all of his stuff in the right moment.
a great match, but I dunno. the ending was unsatisfying to me. mostly because the team that had a dropout and disconnect didn't pull through. an epic match, but was really rooting for the underdog.
Amazing plays and game, but such a cringe-worthy thing to watch, especially seeing two nukes wasted from the go and the bottom team having various opportunities and advantages. Team two having had two players drop made it so hard to watch without shaking my head off.
at times the highest sign of team spirrit..to know when your fucked ,and ensureing you team retains your resources rather then prolonging things 3 sec for yourself and have it all go pop with your acu ^^
one thing i find wierd to see ... sometimes people blow up their structures and units just to reclaim them ... but don't they actualy lose metal this way? .. like isn't a full health unit 100% metal were a wreck is 50% or less?
+MrTBSC depends on the unit. most land units and buildings you get 80-90% of their mass value. Where as shipwrecks give roughly 40% I believe(more accurately I believe its wreck that's in water gives something like half or less value Though I don't know that for sure). People tend to self destruct units when the are no longer viable or useful, at least as far as they know or understand. Better to have the mass than a unit you don't think you can use or want anymore.
+Reaper Zwei i get that but why just not right out reclaim for 100% this seems to be unessesarily wastefull to me .. especialy in a stage were any bit of metal counts ..
ahummm.. that donut killing those percys and fatty, if you rotated the camera, wouldn't that be a nice thing to see :) btw d-_-b was called headphone guy
Great game. Watching team 2 slowly build their experimentals while they are surrounded by experimental wrecks ruined this for me. Is there something that I'm missing here?
I really don't know how these people mobilise armies sooo fast. XD i'm such a turtle on this game. Hence why i don't play online, for knowing i'd get rekt.
Not a fan of these games where someone just quits. Especially when it's the idiot whi only needed to focus his fatboy a few more seconds to take out the commander of that colossus.
57:25
Can we call that the Captain Planet maneuver? Combining a bunch of sub-commanders into a GC
Lmao
23:10 tac snipe
49:30 orange/alabasta nuked
56:45 insta-tele gc
1:05:00 experimental posse, base nuke, close nuke
that chosen play....... video games are art man.
56:50 this just never gets old
Chosen, you crazy genius
mad respect for that blue Aeon player...
He takes so much beating, but just keep going. I don't have that kind of resilience, and would have gave up long ago...
That teleport and sacrifice play. I've never considered it!!
I guess there is a reason to play aeon after all XD
Very very interesting and close game!

The nuke was destroyed by that Chicken at 1:10, also very very close. Dunno if it was loaded but I think there was no defense at that time.
Another epic!!!! I get home from Cross Country practice, see this, and I feel instantly better.
that play at 57:30 soooo amazing
dam i felt so sorry for team 2 having 2 leavers
Hailing from USA, Texas. I just had to say, the flu has NOTHING on norovirus. Last year norovirus came over here infecting my brother then myself. I never knew what the sacrifice thing did. but now I know
+Jonathan Cook Gaming I still dont know...enlighten me please?
+texteel I believe that it instantly contributes however much mass the engineer is worth to the selected construction at the cost of the engineer
TheHunterkiller96 the engis mass into the something's hp? be it building, or repair?
yes it can be used to repair, though from some quick experiments I did in FA its not a 1:1 ratio (unless that was changed in a patch in FAF)
is the sacrifice feature worth it though i mean i can sort of see it as a very desperate thing with scu going into an exp or preventing an enemy getting vet
it otherwise seems like you won't get enoough out of it compared to making use of the engine
how would you use it
That was a totally freaking mental game! WP especially to those who fought to the last!
No Gyle, no no no no. @ 00:01:32 Its not:

Yess Gile!I am prepared ,tasty meal and alot of time and supcom! This is my most favourite time of the week.
+Andrej Inman "This is my most favouritest time of the week." There, I fixed it for ya.
Hugely impressive play from those final four players
There's a special place in my heart for Headphone Guy, bless him.

That was very entertaining!

Okay, this is absolutely amazing.

About to go to bed, has exam tomorrow, sees a Gyle video. (Stays up for 1 more hour :) )
How was the exam ?
d-_-b is Headphone Guy, Gyle. Come on, how did you miss that?
And now I know what sacrifice does lol. That was insane!
Keep sayin' it Gyle, teleport inhibitor would just make turtling even stronger than it already is.
yay for Gyle cast!
Gyle, to avoid people getting 360p at first, schedule your uploads to (however long it takes to upload them +30min), that should take care of the processing time.
it finished uploading at 4 pm i scheduled it for 6.30 pm... youtube be sloooooooow...
*****
Mea culpa. :) Yeah it can be.
+Gyle
You should preencode your uploads correct way so they can youtubed insta-1080p
And also stop this 30fps bullshit, its 2016 already!
+Beardman Hairy As I've said before my comp wont handle 60fps.

totaly disapointed about cabal if he realy just ragequited

Oh God, did Chosen just invent the teleporting Colossus? O.O
If so I have never seen anybody else doing this to this day
Are experimentals not unique to specific factions?
Also why did yellow even leave?
That was awesome!
That was a great game.
Great game!
why your uploads not showing me my feed?
that was EPIC!
Your Late Gyle!
Hoooooly shit, Chosen, that play was *absolutely heretical.* Goddamn, no fucks given
my buddy and i invented that tactic of tele insta build colsi

Gyle, get the new notify, it shows the ungrades
Not much intrigue when chosen in play.
No One Has Ever Done That In The History Of DoTa!
does anybody know what mod chosen is using for renaming his stuff? i like that "get to tha chopaaaa" xD
+Christian Moik It's not a mod per se. You have to edit some stuff in the Notify Mod. I think it is in the notify.lua file.
mhm i think you casted a game where chosen did the same thing but without TP-ing
good baddle fam
Chosen the GAWD :O
mate that's royal blue not electric.
Great game. Watching team 2 slowly build their experimentals while they are surrounded by experimental wrecks ruined this for me. Is there something that I'm missing here?

Now to watch the video :)
Ho... Ly... Fuck..... !
That was a cringe fest for me, with team 2 having only two players for most of the game.
but endgame missed t2 arty defens, then the fattys would not go near homebases..^^
but awesome game...
WTF did i just witnessed
So the salty toxic player (cabal) turns out to be a rage quitter too. No surprise.
So sad(((
dum...didumdumdam
1:19:00 - "More outrageously queer strats".
Gyle, are you quite sexually liberated, or what?
Not a fan of these games where someone just quits. Especially when it's the idiot whi only needed to focus his fatboy a few more seconds to take out the commander of that colossus.
cabal didn't quit the game! he lost con to the game.
disappointing from 2, not enough engineers to use all that reclaim in their base
What a lame game. Why cast a game with scrubs that quit one after another?
because you would then miss dat play of the cyan aeonplayer ... ...
+Daniel Lorente
Have you watched the entire game? The second half was truly epic, not just because of Chosen's powermove there.
