Thank you for sharing your awesome video! I really enjoy that you identify the shells as you pick them up. North Carolina shelling beaches are my next vacation destination!🐚❤🐚
You really do well with shells out there Basia. I used to go shell hunting when I was younger and make models from them, what fun, but never found shells like those hear in Britain.
Hi Kevin, I was happy to find this area where the beach was very eroded and then the hurricanes stirred up the ocean and the result was piles and piles of great shells for me to dig through!
Love those welk (sp) shells, really neat ..I love the olive shells too, I see a lot of them here when I'm snorkeling but they always have the critter in them so I leave them there lol
Hi Basia. Love the sea shells.. As a kid we were told to put the big ones up to your ear 👂 And you will hear the sound 🔊 of the SEA..and you could.. I thought Mum was a special person to know that..! God bless her sole.. Nice collection..and love the Christmas Tree.. Cheers Tony.👍🍺🇦🇺⛏
Love to see the sea and there beautiful gifts . I can not Walk any moore and with my weelchair I can not to the beach , but I have from the good years a bunch of Shells in my graftroom 😊😻😊 and I love them very much !! I wish That you can read my bad English . Love from the Netherlands , your friend Rini !
That unknown shell is a channeled whelk! Its the rarer cousin of the knobbed and lightning whelk. I'm surprised you've never found one before! I heard they are fairly common on the Outer Banks. Either way a nice specimen on the larger size! I've heard some lightning whelks can get up to 16 inches! I also belive the black rocks may be obsidian! I would try smashing one to see if it breaks into shards.
Wow, i love to go shelling, too, when I visit some nice scenic beaches. I can't swim and I go to the sea just while travelling, to take pictures. I love taking shells, anyway. :)
If was surprised to see your wind chime the other day. How about an even better close up? I noticed it was a 2 layer chime, but could not see the details. Thanks for all your videos!
The chimes are not just one layer and they are very long. Got them about 10 yrs ago and they have produced some awesome music for me on my deck. Will do a close up on my next video.
I know you would just like I did. The hurricanes stirred up the ocean so the shells roll in into the lower areas of the beach! Piles and piles of them, I had to move them around to see what was underneath! Shell lovers dream area! Have a great weekend!
michy 2015 the barrier islands of north Caroline reside where two currents meet. The Labrador from the north and the Gulf Stream from the south. It's basically the same reason sanibel has so many shells. Shells just pile up! Also you can find helmet conchs!
The ocean, the edge of the shore, washed by eternal waves, and the enthusiastic woman is a novel about a great world in which there lives passion and an eternal thirst for adventure ...))
Hi, bad storms and hurricanes stir up this ocean and the tide delivers piles of shells and other "treasures". Some areas on this island typically are better for shelling than others and you can go way out in ankle deep water and pick as many as you want. Happy Hunting
why do you call those shells olives?? i know on my weekly 6 mile walk i find angel wings but always the left side, never the right, is that happen to you too???
Thank you for sharing your awesome video! I really enjoy that you identify the shells as you pick them up. North Carolina shelling beaches are my next vacation destination!🐚❤🐚
My goodness! That looks like a cool place to visit and get nice shells!
It is a great place for sure. The shells come in in different areas of our island and you can see what I showed in this video!
Thank you for sharing your shelling trip, they are all very beautiful. I would love to see some of your crafts that you make.
Glad you stopped by! I have a few projects in mind for this Christmas.

This was my first channeled whelk that wasn't broken. Outer Banks is northeast of our island. I may try smashing one of those rocks.
So many, Beautiful my friend, Thanks for sharing.

Now that is pile of shells. Is that on low tide?
Cool new collection.
Yes, low tide. Glad you stopped by!
Sue and I have seen the beach off Hilton head years ago. Gray day, many beached jellyfish, like so many helmets.
interessante Muschel dabei , wünsche dir ein schönes Wochenende
Thank you Horst. Greetings to you
very cool shells we never get that many shells here at our beach
your right you never get all the sand out LOL
Hi, the shells come in in some areas more than others. You just have to find them! Have a great Sunday!
That's a nice Welk. Love the Scotch bonnet too. I would never leave that island. Lol! Did you recieve the card I sent you yet?
Hi, yes I did, I sent you email earlier today! Thank you
Basia Today oh sorry I don't check it everyday. Is there some reason why seashells fall upon this beach in such abundance?
Yes, a hurricane out there did this!
michy 2015 the barrier islands of north Caroline reside where two currents meet. The Labrador from the north and the Gulf Stream from the south. It's basically the same reason sanibel has so many shells. Shells just pile up! Also you can find helmet conchs!
That rounded shell is called a channeled whelk.
The ocean, the edge of the shore, washed by eternal waves, and the enthusiastic woman is a novel about a great world in which there lives passion and an eternal thirst for adventure ...))
Words well spoken! Have a great weekend!
You're so lucky! No shells here in Monterey :(

It looks like a paved path in seashells
This was a great spot for some treasures of the sea!
I would like some of those big ones that look like scallops and jingles
Do you ever come across the critter that lives in the Shell?
Yes, I have come across a live one, had to put them back in the ocean.
The only beach I ever attended with with that many shells was in Merida Mexico 🇲🇽
Oh my, another reason to come on down here Liz!

this is the best beach, the water is light blue and well....? who doesn't like North Carolina beach?
I gave my shell collection to my cousin, who is hand painting them. It is a bit of change of pace from painting rocks.
Painting sea shells and putting them out is what they do around here!
👍 Liked!! Very good!!! 🤗
