  • UPDATED VIDEO ON MOUNTING YOUR VIPAZ HERE: • The ULTIMATE guide to ...
    Introducing the worlds first WestOz RC - VIPAZ custom solid rubber tyres for the ARRMA Infraction and Limitless.
    See latest test run video after 18 packs here: • "TYRE EXPLOSION" 💥💥 In...
    The new VIPAZ custom solid tyres have finally arrived guys and in this video, I'll show you how to prep and bond them to a new set of Pro-Line Mach 10 rims. They look absolutely awesome on the truck.
    It is HIGHLY recommended to use the Pro-Line Mach 10 rims because they have an excellent surface for the tyres to bond to. If you wish to use another type of 83mm set of rims, be sure they are flat from edge to edge, because the Hoons have a step on the outer edge of the rim.
    They can be bonded to the original Hoons rims if preferred, but you must be sure to clean off the old rubber but leave that small amount of original rubber on the outer edge step to keep an even flat surface across the rim for ease of bonding. Use a small grinder or sanding disc to grind the original rubber flat.
    Use a high quantity super glue. I recommend Loctite 424 as it has excellent strength at high temps or the standard Loctite superglue also works extremely well.
    The Mach 10 only need to have the 2 inner and outer ribs removed for easy installation.
    This video also includes 4 highlighted test runs in a row. I chose this truck stop site because it has the roughest bitumen I've ever seen and is a great testing ground for the new tyres, so sit back and enjoy the show.
    These tyres are a bit of work to bond, but so well worth it in the end, you won't look back.

    Good job.
    The sliding way , you could do exactly what you're doing but push the tyre offthe other side about 20/30mm and glue inside tyre again, then slide it back into position.
    Might help stick both sides.
    If the glue doesn't set too quick you could actually apply more to both sides.
    They look like they're holding up great.

      Thanks for that comment brother it’s really appreciated. You would not be disappointed if you buy one especially with these tyres. @@WestOzRC how many packs can you get out of like a white hoon vs your tires becasue a full set of hoons for me is around 70 dollars mounted on rims, how long does your tires last and what is the grip comparable to the hoon tires. I live in a bit of a colder climate than australia, so im wondering what these solid rubber tires can handle when running in something as cold as -5 c to around 5 c. I wouldnt want to spend that kind of cash then find out that it feels like im driving on ice becasue the rubber is super hard. So, are these solid tires more of a drift and burnout tire, or an all around tire like the hoons are

    • @WestOzRC
      @WestOzRC  Рік тому

      @@charliemaybe hey bro. Well I use to get around 3-4 packs with white Hoons but the VIPAZ are a harder compound (around 70 duro, Hoons are around 60 duro) and they do drift easier due to this. Because all 4 tyres are the same the truck reacts pretty much the same. I have sold quite a few sets to people in Sweden, Norway and Finland and they love them and they are repeat buyers too.
      I have gotten 18 packs on the test sets but I ran them as hard as I could. I’ve had some customers get 30 packs. I have priced them as best as I could and I’ve been told they are worth their weight in gold with the money people have saved. The only way you will know is to try a set. Will b grabbing a set next week! Id really like to see a 53/107 set. Will b testing well over 60mph. Going to try a syringe for refilling ink cartridges to get the glue in between the rubber and wheel while the tire is in place. Cool man. The mold of these already cost me a bit so the 53/107 will have to wait until I see how these sell then I will look into it.
      You can get super glue with a long pin type tubing at the end of the bottle that would probably work well. • @WestOzRC
      @WestOzRC  2 роки тому +1

      I used super glue which I’m sure is what they use in tyre glue. Yep either apply the glue to the rim first then slide the rim down then touch up glue if around the edges or cut the tyre on an angle and apply the glue to the rim 2” at a time, lay rim flat and work the rubber around until they meet and glue them together again. Either method works well.
      For the Hoons, you have to leave that tiny bit of rubber step down on the outside of the rim they have so you can glue the e edge down. That’s why I like the Mach 10 rims because they a even flat across the surface. 😎👊🏼👌🏼💪🏼

    • @WestOzRC
      @WestOzRC  2 роки тому

      Thanks for your idea bro and I also thought of that too. By drilling holes in the rim you loose the integrity of the rim and weaken it because while the heavier tyre spins, it wants to tear off the rim so removing surface area for it to bond to is not a good idea. With the minimal wear you have after 4 packs, and if you rotate them every couple of packs. They should far exceed your estimate. Well said brother and I really appreciate your comment. I’m actually going to rotate them every 4 packs and see how much more I get. I underestimate deliberately because the last thing I wanted was people calling me out if I said they’ll last 25 packs and they only get 20 lol. I honestly think they are priced accordingly to their wear worth but I am working hard to see if I can get them made cheaper for us all. 😎👊🏼👍🏼👌🏼🤙🏼

      The 8000 last around 10min and 6500 around 7min but that’s full trigger the whole time. I can get an extra 2-3min if I easy off.

    Maybe put the wheels in the freezer and add glue to the tires and warm them a little. Should work without cuting

    • @WestOzRC
      @WestOzRC  2 роки тому +1

      Hmmm interesting concept bro I could give that a go for sure. Thing is tho if the tyres are warm the glue will dry super fast. That’s why they glue so quickly when they are hot from running. You only have to wait like 2min and you can rip again. Another way is to slide them onto the rim without the glue then place a screwdriver between the rim and tyre to space them apart then squeeze the glue down the rim or tyre then move around the rim like that.

    • @alterdcustomrc4512

    With the hoon tires I just soak them in black magic Make sure I only go to spots that have been seal coated and aren't just raw pavement And try going after it rained and the pavement is just slightly wet Those three things have tripled the life of my boom tires Unfortunately it doesn't matter what tires you use The infraction just eats through anything you put on I only take out mine out occasionally for that reason After the 6th -8th set of tires it starts to feel like you're just throwing money out the window

    • @WestOzRC
      @WestOzRC  2 роки тому

      Great idea man but with these solid rubber tyres just keep running and running. I’ve put 8 packs thru them and they have only worn 2mm. You can’t beat these solid rubbers tyres bud they are lasting so well and I’m not restricted to any surface. I totally agree with the wet surface man but I try to keep water out of it. Thanks heaps for taking the time to comment, it’s much appreciated brother.
