To hear a lyre bird in the wild is amazing. I doubted what I was hearing the first time. My late father had to explain that it was one bird, making all the noises it had copied including chainsaws, all other birds, now the ring tones on mobile phones. Isnt nature amazing? These trees are stunning. I would try for silver birch and Japanese maples. Thanks for this calmness.
They are the most awesome birds - reeling through so many different birds in only a few minutes. I love trying to work out all the birds they're mimicking! Birch is definitely on my list. I'm kind of keeping them a bit random and not trying to look like a specific tree, but they end up suggesting different types anyway :)
That bird is wild! Never saw or heard of it before - kinda think it must have been the inspiration for R2D2 sounds in Star Wars, love the washi tape trees and the variety that you created - could see them mixed with watercolors and deckled or ripped edges of the papers - would be great cards (over here giving myself a ton of ideas 😜)
Thank you so much! I've mixed watercolours with washi tape before and I love it. Once I've exhausted my initial ideas for my trees, I might try mixing mediums!

I‘ve been wondering how washi tape art is done and seeing your techniques here has opened a world of possibilities in my creative mind. Thank you!
Haha that's good. I hope you try it out!
How about a washi tape lyre bird? Those feathers!
I've been planning a major art work of a lyrebird - maybe A3 size, so I can hang it on my wall.
