That wasn't ego. That was true caring for his band. Being open to bringing in a therapist was inspired. It just shows how forward thinking he was and STILL IS. 💕
❤❤❤
"I just looked at it like a family is always going to have its issues, a team is always going to have their issues."
He is one of the most successful person in a music history for purpose. He is not running away but solving problems.
Jon sure sounds amazing when he tells his own story .sure be interesting to hear truly what the other guys think .one thing for sure Jon runs the show and don’t look like anyone else has a say .
In the 90s Jon forced all the band members to go 4 therapy, to let each individual in the band could speak their minds, this was over a period of time. This was also to resolve issues band members had with each other and to clear the differences. Yes he is in charge, but if he had this hughe ego and was the only one with a say, would he have done this? He clearly cared about all members feelings and did not want anamosity in the band
@@JudyBeeton-j8ulols you just asked a stupid question the band would have left him he had not done that he would have been just another face in the crowd and not a rock legend if the band did not stay with him his ego he treats Richie still today like he was not important to the band but he was him and Richie was the true songwriter not just Jon
@@John-ww2bf what STUPID question? That might be urs but not mine!
u might be on to something. Richie said he felt like he was in the Mafia but did not explain that remark. he wanted to leave two years before he finally left in a bad terrible way
@@parisjok5311 well maybe he was in a different way
He should've left 10 years ago
The documentary is fantastic. Ive watched it twice

I will always love bon Jovi and the band Tess and many more years tess
That's incredible at that time. Wow! Many thanks x
I'm glad we went. Made me a better air drummer
It was probably the best thing at the time❤
jon always trying separate himself from the whole hair band tag .dude not only were you part of that scene you led that scene and being apart of it is reason you still selling out arenas today. yes jon is a good musician and song writer but he thinks hes in same class as dylan🤣. if anything jon borrowed a lot from billy squier from his power pop sound down to how he structured his band. theres songs on his first 2 albums where he straight up rips off some of billys songs. listen to bon jovis song called king off the mountain its a complete ripoff of squiers song the stroke
Poor man’s Jackson browne and Springsteen. But Richie was the difference guys
-" the stroke "-
Oddly enough I saw Billy Squier open for him in 1989
