Thanks for this, I decided to start with Admin certification but I wasn't sure where to go from there. I have several years of front end web developer experience with Javascript, but I've been worrying about AI making me irrelevant.
There are many routes to choose, although they are not all as in demand as they used to be. Data Cloud, Advanced Admin, or Platform Developer 1 would be decent choices for you next.

You can start with Data Cloud. However if you do not have any Salesforce Certification, I’d actually start with the Administrator cert
