I was at the front of the stage, from what I could tell 70% of people at the gig didn't know who Autechre was, or had just checked out Autechre the day before coming. "So it's like EDM?" a few muscle boys asked me, The front of the stage was such a joke, you had all these bros thinking it was some kind of dubstep waiting for 'the drop' stupid cvnts.
Thanks heaps for uploading this, great recording. I was somewhere behind you that night. What an absolutely bonkers set, system, acoustics etc. Shame you got fuzzed halfway but there are some of the best moments here anyway.
I was there and they played to about 1000 or so people, which is 1/500th of the population. The lights were completely turned off so pitch black and damn intense.
I imagine more than a few from abroad would have made the trip down for this, especially considering Drew McDowall was on the same bill doing TIME MACHINES. What an incredible night!
Thanks! Almost bootlegged it myself but left my recorder in the hotel! As for the talking, people spoke through the entire evening - it was very disrespectful. But compared to every other act, people generally behaved for Autechre.
Guy recording here, I was holding it up for the first part but then a guard told me to put it in my pocket, you'll notice there's no screaming in the first half I'm there to have a good time not to produce a perfect record

2016 Helsinki used to be my favorite boot. This has now surpassed it. The whole section from 22:38 to 37:25 is just utterly stunning and mind-blowing, the way it just accelerates and grows more and more complex. The rest of the show is an absolute banger too.
Recorder here, I agree! They did say they have soundboards of all their tours and are eventually planning to release most of them, just takes time to mix and master. The day this gig comes out in soundboard quality I will cry tears of joy
Tax was what autechre brought. No one in Tas had a really good moment of inspiration or admiration for really any of this deal session . It sounded to stripped and experimental . Not u stink. In fact to get anyoftheworld moving to autechre you have to do it yourself and the men would agree themselves I bet . Live always sucks so far with this duo.
