    Sandi, If You wanted to get two home made columns and turn it into an arch (like a doorway one with sides going straight up and a curved top) how could you make this and adapt it without having to tape the poles to the column? I thought about using shock corded tent poled and sliding them inside the pipe, but I didn't know if that would be good enough.

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  7 років тому +1

      I think that it might work, but I would prob use a little tape too just to make sure it doesn't slide out from the pressure of the balloons. You could use clear packing tape if you want something a little less sticky :~)

    Does the metal pipe need to wrapped completely with tape? Or spray painted ? I'm wondering if the temperature of the pipe cause the balloons to pop if I'm making outdoor balloon columns ?

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  7 років тому +1

      I've never had the temperature of the pipe pop the balloons, but direct sun light definitely can. I wrap the pole with tape to camouflage it so that it blends into the design and you don't see unfinished metal peeking through the balloons :~)

I'm trying to save as much money as possible for my upcoming birthday party and I'm just wondering would two floor lamps work the same way as this?? I will unscrew the top part where its kind of shaped like a cone and hide the wires. It wont be a large arch just big enough for like one person to be able to take pictures? Just curious if this will work. Thanks for the help..

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  8 років тому

      +prettinpink0 Yes, it will work, but be very careful because it doesn't have a great footprint to prevent it from falling over. Honestly the price is about the same, so you wouldn't really be saving much money- just convenience :-)

      If the balloons were fully inflated then they could be very fragile. If the balloons were dark colors and you put them in direct sunlight they could pop. If the balloons hit a static field and were not underinflated they could pop. There are a lot of factors that could cause popping, but best practices are to make sure you use a good quality balloon, keep it good and squishy by underinflating, and stay away from dark colors and direct sunlight for outdoors.
