Here’s some seperate ones by me 1. Logano’s Championship 2. Stenhouse’s fine (nascar social media was constantly promoting this and multiple drivers called it bs) 3. Hamlin jumping the restart 4. The flat tires bs
Joeys championship? lol why he is easily a top 3-5 racer in nascar. He had a down year and pulled through when he needed it he earned it nothing coniversal about it
@ dude, it was extremely controversial. I’m not saying Logano is a bad driver. At all. He played the game. The problem was the game. In this particular season, Joey Logano was shit. By all accounts. If you watched every race this year, you’d observe that Logano was finishing 15th or worse almost every race. You said it yourself, he had a down year. Down years don’t win titles. If this were 2015 a Joey championship would have made sense. Even his 2022 title was deserved. But this year was absolutely not.
@@rickysullivan9351you forget he only got into the playoffs and the championship race because of a couple of the many controversial moments this season. So for sure it was controversial.
The playoffs producing entertainment is pretty much a myth. That fact is Playoffs and other gimmicks that Nascar tries to pull actually produce controversey, not excitement.
The Kansas thing was because people were upset about Ford not winning a race up to that point, and the fact that was one of the key factors in Buescher missing the playoffs.
Yes! We need a one attempt rule to the GWC. Absolutely hated this limitless GWC buffoonery. From day one I said it needed to stick to one attempt. Three left me uncomfortable but I lived with it. But Nashville and beyond was so predictable.
Best controversy, 5 overtimes at Nashville, it showed why overtime is a joke nonserious rule that ruins every race that it touches. Worst controversy, Hamlin jumping the start at Richmond, this showed that any driver can cheat in any late race restart and just not be punished, every driver should jump the start in every overtime restart since it's not against the rules
@@ming454 that’s true I def overlooked that but yeah the whole OT ruining everything. Like what I’m trying to say is that. It isn’t NASCAR fault that there were 5 Overtime’s because the drivers couldn’t hold the urge to melee each other for two whole laps. It’s also kinda because you know in the closing stages of any races particularly on restarts drivers will be aggressive and making egregious moves that they would otherwise not risk. All in the name for points and to seize opportunities

Overall this year has been great however the NASCAR officials cannot get their heads of their asses NASCAR being annoying but overall this was a pretty good year however the controversies kind of ruin this year for me in the first one being the when and you're in basically this was for both Austin Dillon and Harrison Burton like in Richmond I was happy for Austin Dillon to win that race because he actually did the serve the win does including him wreck in Hamlin and lagano because again back then I thought that was the coolest fish ever but now I just think it's ok but when Harrison Burton one at Daytona hours immediately happy for him but of course here comes the rowdy Nascar fan saying that he's dead lasting points and he is not supposed to be in the playoffs like come on guys can we be happy for him because for one thing Harrison Burton was absolute garbage in 22 and 23 and I imagine some people were rooting for him to win his first win and he got it this year bundle NASCAR fans are so greedy that they literally want to see the world burn and for example when a driver gets his first point and it gets into the playoffs they will immediately argue that guy is 32 in points And overtime controversy you have no idea how much I was so tired of seeing cars going around in circles Nashville I was tired and when a cousin came out I immediately wanted to not NASCAR anymore and I still hate Austin Cedric for causing the first caution of overtime and we got the Alex Bowman controversy I still hate NASCAR for this like can we all admit that Alex woman is technically the 2024 champion and not Logano because if so that that could have been an awesome dream but it's reality and he didn't and the Martinsville controversy like literally I did on meme about this race the person who said to those drivers to do the blockade I hope you get fired and I mean it from a Chevy and Toyota I hope you got fired and the championship this year I literally rage and I want to throw my computer off the window
I would say on the first on. Even after Nascar showed how they determined that finish, it was still controversial. It was a blurry photo with two arbitrary lines drawn on them that weren't even lined up with the front of the cars correctly. What made it worse was the fact you can't even see any sort of markings on the track and the position of the cars makes it appear it was 100 or so feet from the painted line. Yes I know the painted line wasn't official, but you'd think it would make sense that the official line was at least on or close to the painted line. None of that made any sense at all.
100% this. The photo showed nothing and their claim it was all an electronic timing line failed when they later turned around and said it didn't because of the location of the transponders
I don’t care if people make fun of me for this but that brickyard finish honestly made me question why I even watch nascar, it was such a blatant twisting of the rules that I just sat there wondering why I watch this sport, honestly that kinda broke me because for the rest of the year I was completely apathetic to whatever controversy happened after that
“Even the Intimidator himself never drove through somebody” You sure? Ask Terry Labonte about the 1999 Bristol finish. I gonna defend this move from Dillon FOREVER, because Dale Sr. Would do this type of move to win over Gordon, Stewart, Labonte brothers or other drivers.
I think many would argue that Dale turning Terry was just a very overly ambitious bump and run gone wrong, he didn’t drive 100 feet too deep in the corner with the intention of wrecking two cars on the final lap like Austin Dillon.

Bell at Martinsville clearly couldn’t turn that car properly. When Nemechek rode the wall through a blown tire I don’t think he got penalized.

Oof yeah. I’d say Hamlin’s got more attention just cuz Larson is a Hendrick driver
Logano is a 1 time champ not three time champion

I mean I don’t agree with the overtime.
But it’s not NASCAR’s fault if the drivers couldn’t hold it together for 2 laps right?
@@RBMapleLeaf first 2-3 laps after pacing are the hardest, tires are cooled down so they don't have that much grip and field isn't spreaded.
