Fun fact: The scrolling text and final font that the words "Clipping" are in at the very end are the same used in the 1992 horror film "Candyman", of which the lyrics of this song are based on.
“A Guernica in blood across the wall” is easily one of the most incredible lines I’ve ever heard. For referencing a painting that is already so visceral and brutal, he manages to paint a picture succinctly that is even more horrific and impactful without ever becoming so over the top that it lessens the impact.
5 i agree. and to add, waking up after you get slumped on your intoxicant of choice in a den with a bunch of other junkies, to find 25 feet wide and 11 feet high of blood. good lord. so raw.
The last minute of this track is like nothing I've ever heard before in my life, let alone in a hip hop/rap track. It's an instrumental that would make Swans blush a little. I mention Swans because they're the only other band I can think of right now that would come up with an instrumental like that: dense, dynamic, complex, mostly acoustic (at least from the sound of it)
@@lucasgoncalves7774 its basically the same idea as the end of piggy, insane drums come in as an overdub and dominate the mix. first thing i thought of too. definitely some downward spiral inspiration in the outro
Just so you know this is actually a band composed of 3 people, the vocals coming from Daveed Diggs and then production by William Hutson and Johnathan Snipes
So creative and original. Love Clipping and other experimental/industrial hip hop artists like Jpegmafia, Dalek, Death Grips, EL-P, Bob Vylan, Allflaws
I've only been into clipping. since they released chapter 319 but I've become obsessed and hyperfixated on them and am so happy they're already releasing new stuff

On their Twitter, they said this is more like a continuation. Clipping originally made 2 hours worth of songs but was advised to break it up into parts. So TEAATB and VOBBB were supposed to be released together.
This song in many ways is platonic clipping. The sound oozes violence, I understand the lyrics like that rush when you have a close call on the road. Fire dude.

Trying to figure out what exactly we're looking at - is it a digital projector throwing the words onto a mirror, and the camera is filming the mirror? It's a very cool effect, in any case!!
i think it's projected onto a mirror but also there seems to be another sheet of glass in front of the camera, which the words get reflected onto? that would be my guess
@@mastersoftoday I think it might also be consistent with how it would look when the reflection of the words hits the glass of the camera lens? I'm definitely less sure about that though; you may be right!
