I love Sashimori so bad and the really unique style of this band. I'm glad they are back in Splatoon 3. Why their vocals don't sound like squids is because of the little octopus, in the pic. He finds ancient records of the human civilization and makes them into these bangers with the other members of the band.

Fun fact: Paul, the DJ, uses "ancient records" for the audio samples. Speculation is that the vocals are from human recordings.
