I miss Seychelles. It was so beautiful, and the rum is among the best on Earth (it is my personal favorite, and I import it regularly because it’s so good).
The only downside (and I’m sure y’all were warned about it) is that venturing away from Mahe, there have been pirates in the area. I have seen some pirates around there, but they have specific targets they look for.
Yes Takamaka is the best! Hard to get in the US though.
Hey, we will be there next year.

We sail the other side of the planet as well, on our catamaran from BC

Love it, seems a bit like some of the windward Caribbean islands mixed in with Galapagos wildlife! We really have to get over there! And noted on the navionics app!
Thanks! Hope you guys can make it there!
I appreciated your well made video. We are contemplating doing a charter in Seychelles in January and would love to know what month you were there. I am a bit put off by the extreme heat and humidity. Any suggestions are welcome!
Thanks for commenting! We were there in March. Our one recommendation is to charter a boat with a generator and air conditioning. Ours only had AC when at a marina, and there are very few marinas- you’ll likely be at anchor most overnights. Enjoy your trip! It’s a beautiful place!
