Yes! I used and still do them for many videos before the Smallrig 220b. (And clearly still do ha this video) If you can soften it, I will say you want to get a defuser. The only downfall is using it in bright areas isn't the best as it's not super bright.
ngl, having the kid's audio in the back made me trust you more. Don't apologize about them at all haha. It's hard trying to figure out who's just trying to sell me stuff and who's like an actual person.
Definitely one of those, either one could get the job done. But if had to only pick one, light a couple people and not use any additional lights, I'm going lantern! Hope that helps
I'm actually looking to buy a lantern for a bunch of interviews/podcasts style that I'll make with some players of the Montreal Canadiens. I really need everything to be perfect. Do you think for the key light the 65cm lantern + a Godox 300VL will be Ok for that kind of gig? Enough light for 2 people? Or should I buy the 90cm lantern? Im not sure... Would appreciate your feedback! Thx
Nice! Congrats on the job! I’d recommend the 90 if you the 300vl is bright enough for it. The 65 work but you’ll be happy with a Bigger/ softer light source. I’d think about some kind of hair light and backlight if you’re really wanting to get a clean look ✌🏾
@@WillieShawFilms Thx. I'm pretty grateful that life his offering me these gigs. I'll go with your recommandation. And yes I'll bring some backlight. Thx so much for your time. Keep the good work! And wishing you lots of gigs for 2024!
Sorry about the audio quality! But I think you'll still find value in this one 🙏🏽
Thanks for sharing Willie.
Yes, it's always worth working on our equipment and light is most important.
Much love 💕

Hi, thank you for sharing; what about the LED panels from Neewer? Are those a good choice for sit-down videos?

@@WillieShawFilms Awesome! Thank you so much for responding. I may go with the softbox lantern. I definitely want the softer look. Be encouraged.

Nick! I appreciate this! Just trying to give the answers I was looking for when purchasing and creating amongst the chaos 🤙🏾
Audio seemed fine. Thanks for the video, I'm trying to decide what will work best for my videos

I’m so torn, I got a beauty shoot and feel like a lantern is probably my best option? What would you go for?
If you’re watching that beauty (high key light) shot look I’d probably go lantern.
Hello! 65 is enough for you? Or maybe a 90 size
If I could go back I'd get the 90. Just make sure you have a bright enough light
