❤ I got it a month ago and use it twice a week. I'm shaving once a week as opposed to daily before. so far so great, no burns but you do need patience if you're going over larger areas. I recommend. Yeah laser is much cheaper now, but if I can save some money, that's more for fun or bills. I regret 2 things, 1, not getting it sooner. 2, not taking before and after pictures!!

Darker skinned individuals should consider laser hair removal NOT IPL as IPL energy enters the tissue and treats superficially. Two issues here for dark skinned folks. Melanocytes sit superficially in our skin, therefore, the more melanin we have, the more we want to bypass our melanocytes when treating. A 1064nm wavelength is best as it treats deeper in the tissue - heating further away from the melanocytes AND the deeper, darker course hair will be treated more effectively. Let’s stay safe and avoid superficial burns! Much more likely with IPL on Fitzpatrick skin types 4-6. This you tuber should definitely NOT be using IPL!
I was hesitant initially but after thorough research, reviews from darker skin people and trying on small parts of my body, I gave it a go. I have been approached by multiple brands for ipl/laser hair removal at home but i finally felt confident with Ulike. I’ve used it over 5 times now and I’m safe. I guess the hair must be dark otherwise it won’t work? If you do laser treatment that is how it work at least and not be in the son because the risk of hyperpigmintation. I’m not sure this work the same way?
