Your channel has been so helpful! I got my first design job after taking your courses and now I get paid to do something I really love. Congrats on your success and thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Congratulations on 50.3K subscribers! 🥳🥳 You're amazing, Mike. Thank you for answering my question and many others I had. Fun fact: A senior UX designer from Adobe ( I know) got away with using Figma instead of XD 😏 I wonder why 😂😂
Haha yeah that happens - sometimes good designers have their own way if they're valuable to the company. Google is not even forcing they designers to use Chromebooks and Figma, many use Macbooks ;)
I would never go work for FAANG - freelance or small (own) agency is the best way to do what you want, live free and enjoy your work :) Be your own boss basically.
You are so welcome! I was a D student throughout my entire education, so not really a fan of being in a school system anymore - but I try to share a no-nonsense approach with people :)
A great Q&A, with much needed knowledge and advice, must be nice to sit on the beach on a beautiful day and narrate things about your life and talk, basically. Goals 🎯 right there 🙂
Haha that's my favorite beach, but now in late June it's actually quite crowded, at the end of August it will be back to me being the only person there ;)
Hi Michael, I am going to get your "Boring UI course" for Christmas and I was wondering if it fits well with the Google Certificate which I have already completed. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and have a wonderful Christmas,
Man I’m glad I watched THIS video of yourS first so I could immediately know to not watch any more at all after you said: “You're gonna learn that it's just patterns…like, all of UX/UI design is patterns…and once you learn those patterns it's just kind of putting them all together. So it's more like…a simple craft” 😂 🤦🏻♂️

Question. How many people have graduated form the google ux course? Also is there a need for a lot of beginner Ux designers, I feel as if there are more designers than jobs
40-50 thousand graduated, there's a lot of beginners and not many companies hire them but there are ways to stand out and increase your chances. I talk about many of those in my videos.
Hi, I'm a junior in high school and really interested in UI/UX design. I am just a bit confused how to pursue it once I graduate HS. I am most likely going to go to college however I'm unsure what major would benefit me the most in this field. Is going to college for design even worth it nowadays with all the other ways to educate yourself such as bootcamps?
I'd learn on my own first and then consider college - as it's mostly about networking and getting to know people, most colleges curriculum in ux is quite outdated ;)
🤝& 😎 You covered a lot of ground (while sitting on that lovely beach). Thanks for taking the time to work though all the questions and congrats on 50k+ 🎊✨ Well deserved for all the creativity, time and effort. ...Rosa Baker had not a silly question, but a good one :) #33 for likes 👍 hahaha 😜
I have a plan to ask some recruiters that are also designers (and I actually have one in mind already) some questions in a short video on how they evaluate designers - hopefully it will help. I myself don't have that knowledge :)
I was thinking about this a lot, but I think there are some factors that may delay this quite a bit. I'll try to gather more information and do a video on this too.

“Baby research and moving rectangles” you’re the man. Thoughts about working for a FAANG company?

You have so much wise and helpful knowledge! Thank you for helping motivate and teach all designers! I wish my teachers in school were more like you.

I would love to get into video game UX/UI design but I don’t know where to start. Any recommendations?!

My pleasure! And yes, it was a very good question! :)
Please make video on interview for job ?
That is one thing I'm not really capable of doing as my last job interview was in 2006, so I'm completely out of touch regarding interviews.

What design
Now I understand why you and vaexperience are never going to collaborate :p
