The timing on this segment is masterful. Each scene, every line of dialogue, parallels other episodes in Star Trek or serves to develop characters. I particularly liked where he threw the communicator away. Building frustration in Klingons always ends in a fight.
Ma’ah has got game, no matter what role he’s in. It’s still weird to think that he’s the Boimler of his species. But I can still see them becoming fast friends.
It still tracks. Remember every girl at the vineyard is trying to get all up on that (plus Ensign Castro and that other girl) It makes sense that Ma'ah has game.
This same score (or a rendition of it) plays when Ma'ah hands Mariner her pip after their heart-to-heart last season. Is it his theme? Cuz I agree, this score is GORGEOUS and I want more!❤
Every once in a while, the TNG era gave us some neat insights into Klingon life that WASNT "WARRIOR HONOR" at all times. A season one episode mentions a legal dispute with a Klingon carpenter, I believe. DS9 had the Klingon restaurant. There was shown to be a sort of space for non-warriors (or warriors whose time had passed) in the form of Martok's administrative adjutant. Klingons would NEED farmers and whatnot, and I strongly think they wouldnt shit on them for 'not being warriors', but rather if they did or did not live up to the ethos of honor and loyalty. You can be a dentist and so long as you act with integrity and strength, I'm sure that must count for something among them.
The sprinklers to harvest worms is pure genius.

This is a fun reference to the fight picard and his brother had at the family vineyard.
Ma'ah's brother sounds like Macho Man Randy Savage. XD

I love the fact we get a proper episode on klingon culture.
