Great video , about catalogue ,2024 , I like the older f1 , golf , ford sierras , and few others , I can only buy analogue so all good, so few to look forward to, so this year for me , so great , fantastic , , very good , awesome, look forward to your show , every week ,
I’m liking the look of the Checker cab, a couple of them with a bit of street weathering to make them feel more authentic. Or 6 of them with digital chips racing around bashing and crashing would be fun 🤩 👍
Volkswagen, as we say in Australia, " Soap and water Geoffrey, soap and water " It came from a tv sit com. When Geoffrey said something bad his mom would tell him to wash his mouth out.
I think all this looks good. Overall, it is good to see less new stuff as last year's epic was somewhat overwhelming. I had the pair of Cobras from 2023 and I think I will take a look at the white Jag Mk1 and see if I can rework the chassis. I do like the classic styles and this seems to be more in evidence with all this.
Thanks for the info travis. Interested in a number of the cars they look great but.... not sure about the prices for these cars overseas but in america dealers are asking 65 dollars and up for a car. I just can not justify paying that much for a entry level car. I can get a slot-it for that price. Do you know if the increase is cost has hurt sales. I see a number of dealers starting to lower their prices in the US. I was able to obtain several 2023 releases for 40 dollars. Afraid it will get to the point where american dealers will stop offering scalextric cars or offer less variety or lower the amount of cars they purchase. Happy new year. Keep up the great work
Glad the Classic GT making a comeback. I wish it was new tooling for body float like the Fly's. Maybe our track will add this class because these cars will be available and cheaper than eBay but still too expensive at $65?
@@thatslotcarguy yeah they’re nice cars and this looks pretty sweet the more I look at it. I never had the privilege of owning one. My good friend has a MK2 VR6 swapped and they’re a ton of fun!
I really wanted to be amazed, but typically there’s only so many new offerings available. I will be getting the GTI because that was one of the favorite cars of my youth. I probably will be getting a Volkswagen beetle but I’ve held off on previous liveries because I don’t like the fact that they use late model, 1968 4 lug wheels on a 1965 and earlier bug that should have 5 lug wheels. Yes on the Michael Keaton era Batmobile and maybe the new JPS F1. Now let’s see what Carrera comes out with.
Great review Travis, I'm loving the GT 40 and the 330 p4, but then there's the anglia and beetle🤔🤔 Also the great thing about Scalextric is they are ready to run and usually do quite well. Thanks again buddy 👍👍👍
Question: The DPR capability means you can just as easily install an appropriate DPR chip to make it Carrera compatible? Scalextric has the cars and Carrera has the tracks. Carrera car selection is really boring.
I wish, the DPR ready is for an easy installation of a scalextric digital chip converting a scalextric car from analogue to digital You can still find after market digital chips to convert for other digital systems
Sorry but very disappointed with what they are releasing except for a couple of car's, just expected a lot more but they are delivering so very little , they love doing novelty car's & what makes it worse is that Scalextric prices will probably go up again 😥😥😥
Travis: Sorry not to "fanboy" but like Carrera, Scalextric 2024 is underwhelming. I am sure there are many that will like them but between the crappy paint that I got on 2 cars last year and the MSRP prices, its a no for me.
I normally have the same attitude but I thought the Mr Bean car was great quality and couldn't fault the colours, paint or finish. I have recently bought a Joker car and that is really nice. I do agree the price of Scalextric cars vs hobby grade doesn't add up and most cars are not worth the money. The VW GTI does look good and with some new running gear would probably run magless. I think and hope 2024 is the year Scalextric could redeem themselves. The hot laps set looks very good and innovative, can't wait to find out more about that set.
My SLOT Brother, I never give up hope but after a complete disappointment in poor paint QC last year on a white Lambo and a comical purple Cobra, my dollars for now are shopping elsewhere. Happy to see you well and back home!@@thatslotcarguy
Guys….. Just realized curved lane charges are not compatible with ARC PRO. Why? WHYYY!!?? You overtake in curves in real racing. Why is Scalextrics going backwards? I am selling all my stuff now , disappointed.
Just preordered the Batmobile!!!

Great video! Any news on when the Sierra Super Saloon set will be available please?
Love the classic Taxi… but then again I live in NYC
Many good offerings from Scalextrics for 2024. Being a VW old guy I really like both the GTi and new livery on the Beetle.
Where to start great video, excited about few of those
1 batmobile is must have
2 taxi just iconic
3 VW GTI glad to see this really liked car in US.
Great video legend! Thx for the look ahead! We'll deffo be grabbing all the Cosworths.
Save everyone else one 👍😃
Batmobile on the front cover, you have my attention hahaha.
Thank you Slotcarguy.
Appreciate mate.
Love that Mini S!. I've owned some real Mini Coopers in the past.
Thanks for the post Travis .I'm liking the vw beetle and F1 cars
As an American VW fan i think that mk1 GTI is beautiful.

Couple of great cars, but where to start? Thanks Trav
It says working rear lights, does this mean brake lights as well? I don’t know much about Scalextric products.

Excellent video, kinda excited for that GTI to be honest 😂 always liked those VWs. And of course, that Williams F1 set caught my attention 😅
Man the GTI for me is a winner

That Grand Prix race set is the same as my first Scalextric set back in the early 60’s one of the cars was a D type Jag
Checker cab - who'd have thought? Not sure it has any non-taxi liveries. Otherwise nice to see Rabbit/Golf and Anglia. Thanks for your research.
Great release video ❤🎉
It would be cool to see them put some passengers in the back of the cab
Even cooler, have Christopher Lloyd drivin' it!
They should make a 1960's Batmobile. The real one.
Send them an email 😉
@thatslotcarguy Good idea, I just did.
We shall see what their response is to a colonial in Western Australia.

Cheers mate, we still have 3 more releases to do this year which is exciting
Still waiting on the first Land Rover!😊
On the 1/43 scale is that a seperate catalog for scx? Thanks🏁
Scx and scalextric will do separate catalogues

Scalextric or Scalectrix

We still have 3 more quarter releases to come
Based on what cars go for the highest prices on EBay then they should release further Group B Audis, Lancias and Peugeots @@thatslotcarguy
It's still disappointing 😢
89 Batmobile is best Batmobile
I completely agree
FORD ANGULAR ???????
Get on with it
Th 1:1 1989 Batmobile is 21 feet long.

Completely understand mate, hopefully you will find something you like in the Q2,Q3 or Q4 releases
