I'm so excited to play this cc. I'm with you, cc is one of the main reasons why I play AK. The challenge that you can put yourself under is an experience like no other. I'm sad that it's coming to an end after this one, but holy crap they put out a banger to end on and for everyone who played backed in beta will have such a great nostalgia trip running this perma.

I commend hg for going to the nostalgia route. My love for this game just skyrocketed when the cn trailer dropped. Like no exaggeration, this is one of the most dedicated game company's I've seen. Both in their game and in their community.

He's still pretty terrifying in CC#beta, especially with the early operators that were available back then.
(Heck, some strategy had to rely on dodging his strikes, since 1 or 2 hits could end the run)

If I recall correctly, the Avenger (the katana wielding boys) were first introduced in CC0, which was a beta to test out Contingency Contract mechanics.
On top of that, the boss of each contingency contract is a boss we've already seen elsewhere in the game, generally the main story.
This is the final Contingency Contract that will be made, and to commemorate it, not only is it focused around the Avengers again, a well liked enemy, but this CC has an exclusive brand new boss designed just for the mode, and he himself is a beefed up badass looking Avenger.
After two years and 11 Contingency Contracts, it's ending on a callback to where it all began, and everyone is pretty hyped about that.
