I believe it's a size h 5mm hook
If it appears to big try a 4.75 mmr hook or use a size guide the babies head. There are a number of charts out there.
Row 1- 8 hdcs total
Row 2 - chn 1 16 hdcs total
(2 hdc in each of the 8 Hdcs)
Row 3- chn 1, 2 hdc in 1st stitch 1 hdc in the next stitch, 2 Hdcs in the next stitchx 1 hdc in the next stitch repeat until you reach your chn 1.
You should have 24 stitches at the end of row 3.
Row 4. Chain 1 2hdc in the next stitch 1hdc in the next 2 stitches then 2hdc. Repeat till till you reach the chain 1.
You should have 32
Row 5 ch 1 2hdcs next st. 1 hdc next 3 stitches, then 2hdcs In the next stitch repeat till the end. You should have 40 stitches.at the end of row 5
Row 6 you should have 48 stches

I love this pattern. But I can't follow it because I'm now. Other videos are easier because they talk you through the whole thing. They even show you how to to the stitches. It's cute though. Sorry I couldn't follow it.
