The last 1/8 mile in particular was incredible. Sonny masterfully moves him around a tiring Messier and shows him the leader. Rich Strike sees the leader down the entire stretch and wants to catch him. Sonny asks Rich Strike to give him what he has left, and Rich Strike gives it to him. This is the epitome of Jockey & Horse.
Great job Nathan. I tend to agree. Speed figures are some of the most overused things out there. Everyone looks at them and takes too much stock in them which ends up driving down the odds. Nice pick man!
Had the exacta, Epicenter box with ALL. Rich strike broke his maiden at Churchill by 17 length. Also had a great work the week before the derby. Saw it on the morning works show. Also just luck I threw him in there.
Thank you for helping frame my losses on the Kentucky Derby by reminding me of 'Black Swan' events! I was having trouble reconciling studying the horses and thinking I could make an intelligent bet then the 2022 Derby happened. I am now going to look at horse racing as a long game.
Yes it is a long game for shore. Just do what you need to do to stay in the game until one of your big payouts come along. And they will come if you think differently from the crowd and can be right about it every now and then. All the best to you!
I had a little 2.00 saver bet on 17, 18, 19, 21, so 163.00 covered all my derby bets. RICH STRIKE, was sired by KEEN ICE, he beat American Pharoah in the travers
New rule should be set in place for scratches and bubble horse to fill in the spot, no last minute bs. 19 horse is enough when ethereal road was scratch!!
I need to go back and see if Rich Strike had enough points to get in. If he hadn't won since last September then one would think he didn't have enough points versus others. I need to look more into it though.
@@meganhill453 actually I won, only loser go for a Disney fairy tale story. This horse will not win preakness, skip preakness and possibly win Belmont with a slight chance.
The trifecta payout at my local tab was over $113,000. I always kick myself for not doing one ticket with the biggest outsider being in the picture, oh well next year.
I had 2,3 and almost 4th. But nice selections D Nice! I don't see him taking too much money in the Preakness might be more of a Belmont horse. I would say 4-1 or 5-1 in the Preakness. I know I will try to beat him in the Preakness.

Thank you and no problem! To me the Preakness is the "easiest" of all Triple Crown races to handicap. Rarely does something crazy and unexplainable ever happen in the Preakness.
It reminded me of Borel and Street Sense , my horse simplification was closing also . I hit a couple during the day only to put it back , no regrets . Now we got the Preakness, uh oh .

Hello I lost every Bet I made when I kead a horse that didn't work and when I boxed 3 or 4 that didn't work either Just had a bad day all together
