      Congratulations! I'm planning to take the IELTS but I'm kinda nervous and anxious actually I'd do badly especially exam's fee is expensive and my parents are paying for it and I don't want to be burden on them although they're okay with it, however I can't retake it again, also the courses are expensive 😂 so if you mind please, would you share what did you do to prepare for it? Did you use online free materials or did you enroll in An offline/ online courses or what? I hope I get band 8 or 7.5 at least

      @@tt7762 nope you can't get 7.5 and 8 bands in ielts it's just your overestimation becoz as i experienced and done with my first attempt it's very sophisticated to score higher bands by doing online study Although my English is good moreover i took offline coaching for several months still not got my desired band score and scored marely 6 😤

    Trang shares her experience of getting a band 9 in the IELTS reading section and emphasizes the importance of practice and strategies. [00:07] Trang has scored a band nine in the official IELTS exam in the reading section three times. - Trang wants to prove that non-native speakers can do well in IELTS reading. - She believes that the right strategies and practice can help achieve a high score. [02:56] Reading and listening skills are strong, but speaking and writing are challenging. - The individual is confident in their comprehension skills due to extensive exposure to English content in real life. - Technical English learned from textbooks is considered good practice for improving IELTS scores, particularly in the academic arts exam. - The individual reads a range of subjects from culture and fashion to finance, business, marketing, and technology. - There are notable differences between the content read in real life and the topics covered in the IELTS exam, with the latter being artificially complex. [06:01] Time management is a challenge for IELTS candidates. - Candidates feel there is not enough time for the reading section. - Dividing the test duration into three parts is suggested, with more time allocated for the difficult passages. - Rather than lingering on one question, it is better to move on and come back later. [08:52] Reading the entire passage and headings is important for list of headings questions. - It is easier than true/false/not given but more difficult than filling the blank. - The main challenge is to match the headings with the paragraphs. - There are strategies to overcome the difficulty and identify the correct answers. [11:57] Reading multiple times and double checking are equally important - Reading the text multiple times helps to enhance reading fluency - Double checking answers twice ensures accuracy [15:07] Improving reading skills by reading a lot of real materials - Reading in real life is a beneficial and essential skill - Start with the things that interest you and then broaden the range of materials you read [18:13] Reading aloud helps improve pronunciation and vocabulary retention - Reading aloud engages multiple sensory integration, using touch, sight, and sound - By involving multiple senses, reading aloud enhances memory and comprehension - Practice is key to effectively incorporating reading aloud into learning [20:41] Insights on achieving a band 9 in the IELTS reading section - Includes important strategies and tactics - Additional information available on Trang's blog

      Congratulations on the great result! I'm glad to have been an aid in your success. On the website, you may have noticed the "testimonials" block near the bottom. Unlike many websites out there, we fill this section with real user testimonials and real pictures of those users. Because of your awesome score and feedback, we'd love to be able to use your first name/picture. If you could send us a picture of yourself (face, like the ones on the website), we would be greatly appreciative. Also, please include your nationality. If you are willing, please send this to admin@aehelp.com. This allows us to encourage other students to use our products and reach their goals and dreams. I look forward to getting your picture, nationality, and I wish you the best in your future endeavors.

    For reading fluency we should read using only our eyes(silent reading) but not murmuring as it put extra pressure & distract concentration as like as an expert bike rider who don't think about accelerator, gear, class but just ride it with fewer or no mistake. although practicing different topics is most important

    • @Aehelp
      @Aehelp  Рік тому

      Hi Sharif, During the exam you MUST read silently. However, at home it is a VERY good idea to regularly practice with aloud reading. Learn lots of great reading strategies for before and after your exam, visit our course at www.aehelp.com/

      Certainly! Here are some popular IELTS preparation books that you might find helpful:
      "Cambridge IELTS" Series: This series offers authentic practice tests and is often recommended due to its close resemblance to the actual exam.
      "Barron's IELTS Superpack": This comprehensive set includes books with practice tests, strategies, and audio CDs.
      "Target Band 7" by Simone Braverman: This book provides strategies and tips to aim for a higher band score.
      "Official IELTS Practice Materials" by Cambridge University Press: This book includes official practice tests with answers and examiner comments.
      Remember, the best book for you depends on your learning style and needs. It's a good idea to explore a few and find what suits you best. Additionally, practice official IELTS materials whenever possible to get the closest experience to the real exam. be sure to check us out at www.aehelp.com/ for lots more IELTS help.
