As I was adapting your rigging concept to my model I stumbled upon some interesting shading, in the “Viewport Shading” drop-down I set Lighting > MatCap > silver ball, and Color > Random. The “Random” gives each part a unique color. Selecting different MatCap shaders produces some interesting combinations..
Thanks, I followed step by step, paused, thought, re-watched, paused agin, re-did the step, over and over until I figured it out … and it worked perfectly. At first I attempted to work it out by using logic and dead reckoning … I’m an idiot for trying that approach, lots of specific steps which would take weeks of trial and error of waisted time. Now I will attempt to apply my limited knowledge of rigging to my specific project. Thanks again
what if i would want to add another cylinder on top of the pistons that represents the gas? how would you add it to the rig so it can sclale up and down with the pistons?
Amazing! Thank you very much for this tutorial. I want to make another piston right next to this one, but with reverse animation, when one goes up the other goes down, does anyone know how I should put the numbers in the animation to achieve this result?
@@mk3dgraphics for some reason it speeds up :( I'll try with differents values. Thanks! Edit: I had set the values to positive and when I changed them to negative it worked perfectly. my bad. Thanks a lot!
idk why not working when add keyframes but works when in pose mode keyframing makes the entire thing move like at the begining but pose mode controller bone let me make it spin correctly
I have to set it to 238, instead of 240, as I found the last frame jerked before returning back to the first frame. I don't know why, 60 x 4 should be 240 but cannot use this number. Is this anything to do with interpolation not setting to constant? I'm using v3.10 of Blender.
9:30 everythings going a little bit different (as always in every tutorial i need). I cant set "360°" there are no °. just a number, and only can rotate to 180° (hardly, then stops even if set 400 or more) and there is a weird W in Rotation... help, someone -o-
Hi ,please make a clip on how to make particle hair. Why I do it when I apply and save but no hair on the model head. I like to watch every clip of your teaching.
the end in (7 IK constrain axis) doesnt make sense nor does it work for anything outside static shots of piston motion please show how to setup dynamic piston motion instead of presuming that we want a static piston as limiting the rotation will prohibit most forms of animation for the engine and will break if the engine is rotated in any real way (say if the car is doing drifts or flips)
I was trying other tutorials but they skipped over so many details that would cause it to break. This was so well explained thank you!

I've never heard of the stretch bone before this. Thank you!
Very clean explanation. Thank you!
This was explained very well. ❤ you are a saint🙏🙏🙌 thankyou for sharing your knowledge.
very good explanation👋👋👌👌🏁🏁🏁Thank you Sir
Perfect explanation about rigging step by step! Cool! Thanks for sharing your Blender knowledge.
Really great overview of the basic. Thank you very much, I’m excited to get started on my project!
Even better that you left resources in the in video links. 10/10 thank you!!
Amazing tutorial man, learned alot here!!!
Great tute, was feeling lost but it all hit that OH I SEE NOW! good ref.
Clear and Intuitive tutorial on animate a Piston
Just what I was looking for! Excellent tutorial.
Tesekkurler. Elinize sağlık, faydali bir video. Takipteyim, devam.
Çok teşekkür ederim. Ne mutlu bana eğer videoların faydası oluyorsa.)
Thank you so much. The other video I watched didn't have any elaboration as to why they were doing anything you are awesome.
that's was what I looking for, thank you so much
amazing really good work
thanks for the model - very useful
Very helpful, thanks bro.
cool tutorial!
Thank you for your video!!! Really appreciate!
thank you ! gonna try this out exactly what i was looking for
didnt work on my project :(
Superb tutorial👌❤️
nice tutorial. thank you so much, mate!
thank you very much, the only thing is that the animation should end at 296 frames to keep repeating properly.
Thank you so much, the only tutorial that helped me
Very nice, thanks for the model👍
Awesome tutorial! real usefull, thank u very much for the time dedicated!
I am new to this channel and i already found a lot of great tutorials, thank you man i really appreciate it
thanks you for the tuto. Was looking for engine rig. Excellent !
You have time for a radial engine animation tutorial. I can't find it anywhere on youtube or google.
I will try to make a tutorial about radial engine. But I can not promise when to make it.
Top Video, thank you 👍
Amazing!!! Thank you very much!!!

Really helpful. I need more animation related video. Like human meta rig(not basic rig). Anyone else who is interested?
I have a tutorial detailed human meta rig .ua-cam.com/video/EA50BBo84uI/v-deo.html
amazing tutorial!
WOW! it is exactly what i needed
I can't move around the crankshaft after choosing like you at 6:03.
Please help me.
great work!!!
awesome it works fine for me. thanks
thank you so much you helped me so much😁👍
Gonna make a sterling engine powered spinning wheel (for making yarn) using this. If I get the energy to do things.
Thanks so much!

I think you can make it giving 180 degrees difference between the rotation values.

Very nice
this is so cool thanks
could explain if want to animate a V engin how to fix the piston in the cylinder
I will try to make a tutorial V engine.
Very nice👍
thank you!! you save me :)
Thank you for sharing
Super ❤

ah, the "mode" was set on "Quaternion XYZW" for some reason... just used XYZ Euler and it works...
obrigado amigo, por me proporcionar mais este conhecimento, assisto teu vídeo de Juazeiro do norte Brasil
Thank you
piston rode? how about piston rod?
Tesekkurler, my friend. Very nice video. But why does the cursor move to the piston joint with the piston rod? What makes it go there?
Thank you. It's because we use IK stretching.
Good for steam trains
Great❤️
thank you so much
Большое спасибо

Before applying the particle modifier, click on the convert to mesh button.Thank you. I also want to make a stylized hair tutorial soon.

i would watch this video more often if you could make it saveable

The whole selecting, unselecting, reselecting, going to another menu, reselecting etc is what makes blender unpopular
Thanks
